The judge should get thrown off the bench and never be able to step foot in a courtroom again.

So we have a mean spirited atheist, a violent Muslim, and a judge who won't enforce the law. Let's not jump to any stereotypes though.

Meh. I'm with Sifo. Except maybe about the judge... I'm not sure "a dressing down" is any different than anyone else without a violent history, who was provoked, and who didn't attack very hard and who stopped the attack and did not try and hide anything from the cops would have gotten. That's probably par for the course.

I would agree with what you said if the "dressing down" was given to the guy who did the attacking. In this case the "dressing down" was given to the victim of the attack, explaining how in a Muslim country he could have been executed, etc. Even called him a "doofus"!

Maybe not so violent or an attack as most would imagine. The actual charge was "harassment."

Without knowing the entire court transcript, it's impossible to comment accurately on the judge's decision, let alone any 1st Amendment issue.

Hateful, disdainful ignorant atheists, they're no different in nature from the Wesboro jerks.

The Muslim guy didn't seem to have a problem with the Zombie Pope.
There whole shtick would have made more sense with a Zombie Jesus though.
If they really were looking to be attacked that's the route they should have taken.

Hey, you can't call them Zombies, or Undead or walking dead.

They're "Differently Alive".

I don't know, so many toes to step on & such little feet, how am I going to insult everybody equally so as not be called discriminatory.

Well, you just insulted people with little feet, so you're off to a roaring start.

Pedally diminutive, please.

Should I take that as a compliment or an insult?
I don't know what a Jeff Dunham is so I'm not sure if I should be suitably outraged or appreciative.

Jeff Dunham is a ventriloquist who has a puppet character Walter who is a grumpy old man who is quite funny. He also has a character called Achmed the Dead Terrorist.

When ever I see your screen name, Mr Grumpy, Jeff Dunham and Walter come to mind.

Then add Achmed the Dead Terrorist

anyway. no offense intended.

Would the Judge let me off for having 4, 13 year old wives? They do that in other countries.

Let's face it, mocking a violent and intolerant religion may get you assaulted, probably killed, and often results in riots and even hundreds dead. That's why atheists seldom attack Islam. They are usually cowards. That's why they pick on Christians, who are supposed to "turn the other cheek" and not Islamists. Thank Beelzebub he didn't try to publish a cartoon.

The Athiest WAS a doofus. It is, however, still, ( for a little longer, at least, maybe....) his right to have and express an opinion. It is instructive that the right to do so seems to be going away, if this Judges actions are an indication. ( and other cases of Sharia Law being accepted in violation of US Law. )

We just had a conviction in an attempted "honor killing" case ...

http://www.democratandchronicle.com/article/201202 29/NEWS01/302290033/Faheem-Abdul-Jaleel-Samina-Qas im-convicted-stabbing?odyssey=tab%7Ctopnews%7Ctext %7CLocal%20News

Earlier report of arrest.

http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/20 11/06/attempted-honor-killing-in-ny-muslim-arreste d-in-brutal-stabbing-of-his-13-year-old-cousin.htm l

The "Honor killing" aspects have been.....ignored after the first weeks. A 16yr old boy with a knife stabbing a 13yr old girl with no weapons in self defense... Yeah! That's the ticket! ( Jon Lovitz, snl )
