I couldn't resist putting in a smart ass comment...

KTM had a pretty spiffy trailer at Mid Ohio, and it sounds like they won't be using it this year (*cough*chickens*cough*). You'd only have to repaint the orange parts. Maybe they will toss in the traction control system they bought for the RC8 to sweeten the deal.
Bill and if they raced and did well then what would you say to cover what ya just said ??? Kinda hard to say how well either is going to do yet. With Eslick there I would venture to say better at minimal.
I'm just poking fun at the Austrians. I have buddies that ride KTM's off road, while I am slumming around on the Kawasaki, so I like to have fun with the Austrian orange bikes. And I'd love a "barely street legal" 350... and kudos to KTM for (still) making a proper enduro two stroke.
I'm also giving credit where credit is due... a big part of winning races is having the balls to go race. KTM, with likely 100x to 1000x the resources of EBR, blinked and backed off the gas. EBR is taking it in hot and braking late... Who knows how it will turn out, but as a fan, I LOVE the attitude! It really captures my imagination and stirs my emotions.
You aren't going to impress me with an expensive trailer, victory through outspending, or even hot umbrella girls.
He lost me also. He was impressed when Richie Morris pulled in with a big Rig that said Geico Buell on the side and and umbrella girl named Bree??? Come on Bill do I need to put high waters on and boots??
Besides, my daughter Audrey and I had a much better time talking to Melissa Paris than we did to any umbrella girl. I told Audrey the story about Melissa being really mad after crashing out of the Daytona 200... not because she just ground off a part of her little finger, but because she just crashed out of the Daytona 200!
>>> Bill and if they raced and did well then what would you say to cover what ya just said ???
But isn't it true that KTM has backed out of racing AMA SBK for 2012? So they are not racing. So I'd say nothing.
>>> Kinda hard to say how well either is going to do yet.
Pretty easy to say that by not racing, KTM isn't likely to finish very well in 2012.
>>> He lost me also. He was impressed when Richie Morris pulled in with a big Rig that said Geico Buell on the side and and umbrella girl named Bree??? Come on Bill do I need to put high waters on and boots??
Impressed by a new team racing a brand one prefers showing up and racing makes sense. Why wouldn't it?
I said "If" and he said "Chickens". And it was all in fun. I think Bill got it. You don't though. And is far as me saying"Its hard to say how either is going to do yet" Well there ya go a again Blake. That would be either Geoff or Danny. And the last statement??? Well there ya go again Blake. Meaning you were never impressed of the Gieco sports Buell Rig?? Man you have to sit back and maybe think what the person posted. Like you say to posters frequently. You no read so good.
How else would one deduce that in saying "Kinda hard to say how well either is going to do yet. With Eslick there I would venture to say better at minimal" that you were meaning May versus Eslick?
Nowhere in the thread had that subject been even hinted at. The only inference for what you meant by "either" that was reasonable was KTM and EBR.
>>> Bads1 Posted on Monday, January 23, 2012 - 06:45 pm: Ok Blake let it go look who wants to argue now. This all thing......so frigg'n what....sheesh.
Principles
Thoughtfulness
So what? So to be less antagonistic, more thoughtful. Else whenever you question another, you find yourself met with an inane reply such as "let it go, who wants to argue now, so frigg'n what, sheesh."
Bill could have done just that but instead thoughtfully answered your rather rude confrontational questions.
KTM isn't racing 2012 AMA SBK. EBR is and with two highly capable riders. The people here who are enthused about and rooting for EBR ought to be free to cheer for EBR and good-naturedly chide KTM without having to endure personal insults or rude interrogations for it.
Jaimec if you give Dave a Kilt some one will hunt you down for causing mass blindness. Now if Dave closes himself up in a LARGE beach umbrella it could work.
I'm on a quest to be unoffendable. It makes life better. (Which in this case was an easy thing to do regardless... as I was poking KTM for fun anyway and had it coming.)
My only disappointment was that I didn't get some good straight lines to make more KTM jokes.
