I'm assuming Eslick will be 9? May is 99? Weird math: 9 X 9 X 9 = 729 72 - 9 = 63 Coincidence? I think not! |

Hmmmm... Geico doesn't have a superbike team... yet. If you go to the website they have a page for the 2011 sportbike team http://www.geicogarage.com/sportbike/ if you type in http://www.geicogarage.com/superbike It shows the old Buell DSB Team. |

I'm guessing a 9/99 all Amsoil team. Erik says there's another sponsor involved:
quote:"Geoff [May] will be on the Amsoil bike and this co-sponsorship will probably spill over a little bit onto Geoff's bike," Buell said. "But he's still primarily AMSOIL."

Geoff on an AMSOIL/geico bike and Danny on a GEICO/amsoil bike? |

Not Jordan thats for sure. I'm doubting Geico because they are intwined with Suzuki. I'm really betting that Erik has done something different. For some reason I have a feeling this sponsor may even be bigger then Amsoil if it is to spill oner to Mays camp. |

Danny can speak of sponsorship for the team until EBR makes a press statement. |

I thought everyone knew that the new sponsor is ford motor company? This isn't news. It is no secret that EBR is currently working with ford to develop an ecoboost I-3 for motorcycle use. |

Yeah, a Ford sponsorship would be cool, especially if it included rocking a Lions helmet, similar to when the nfl sponsored that golfer, Payne Stewart I think. |

You know, when I was a teenager, I wanted to buy an American sporting motorcycle, and wished Ford would build one (as opposed to Chevy et al) for no reason other than that I thought the blue oval would look cool on the fairing. I was 26 before I saw my first Buell. It was a 96 S1, Red Snap. I've not had eyes for another since. So a Ford sponsorship would bring it full circle for me. Not sure why Ford would sponsor a sport they're not involved in building vehicles for. Eh, anything's possible. |

Coincidence that the old Buell logo was a blue oval? |

Ford has been involved with motorcycles before. Remember the Harley Davidson edition trucks? The only people who haul their bikes around more than HD riders are racers. |

And I suspect since Ford is still tied to HD...it won't be Ford. Knowing Erik...I suspect something totally off the wall, out of the box...and a perfect fit, once we see it and go "ooohhhhhhhhh...of COURSE!!!". Time will tell. edit: funny damn timing. Wouldn't it take a feather out of HD's cap (and "core market") if EBR signed with AARP? Sorry. AARP ad on TV as I was typing. But...just think about it! hehee...
