I'd certainly think RMR should be able to find a good rider to replace Danny. They've got good people and equipment. Congrats to Erik and Danny. Hopefully he'll mesh with the 1190rs chassis the way he did with the 1125r. |

I was expecting to come into this thread with a rickroll or some BS....man am I really enthused about this news! This is amazing! Danny is the only one that could really ride a 1125 well (look at who all fielded the bikes in American Sport Bike and where they placed vs Slick getting a #1 plate), so Im super thrilled to see him back with the brand (sort of) and hopefully back up front. He is a major talent and what EBR really needs I like May, and he is very skilled, but I think this is really what EBR needs to put a bike up front (and stay there). This is amazing news Congrats to both EBR and Danny Eslick for getting an amazing partner! am REALLLLLLY hoping they'll be back at VIR this season |

Would make me laugh to see EBR pull the wings off the Panigale right off the bat. |

Has anyone announced that anyone is riding a Panigale in the 2012 AMA Superbike races? |

Curious now to see what team is going to race the EBR/Eslick pairing. That's yet to be announced. And until the curbs are changed, NO motorcycle racer would be so suicidal as to race at VIR. RRW article (Message edited by slaughter on January 11, 2012) |

is there any reason to think RMR wont be involved with Superbike? |

RMR is going to be spread thin as it is with his XR1200 racebike rental program AND racing of BOTH XR1200 AND the AMA Pro Daytona Sportbike. http://roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=4 6684 |

RMR said they weren't going to field a superbike in 2012, and that Danny belonged in Superbike, and that's why they didn't renew his contract. Maybe they knew there was something in the works with EBR. "Curious now to see what team is going to race the EBR/Eslick pairing" The article said EBR was the team, so Danny is a factory rider along with Goeff. What hasn't been announced is the name of the sponsor putting up the money to make that happen. |

Adding Slick to the factory EBR team is almost like cheating. I had plans to watch every race this season just to watch the team move up in the ranks and kick some butt. Now my plans are to watch every race this season to see them WIN!!! I think Danny is the best rider a Buell race team ever had. That man can not only ride well (very, very well) but he gets it and he makes it work. This is the best news I've heard since mom told me the hogs ate my brother. |

Great news. How much ballast are the bikes going to have to run? The AMA rules have never been all that twin friendly to begin with. From what I've read Ducati is interested in Superstock racing only ATM as they feel Superbike would leave them heavily restricted (as they were already with the previous bike). According to the Ducati Corse CEO, they're waiting for the competition to get to their level . All this (I presume) is on the world scale. The teams in North America never seem to be as competitive as compared to the world racing scene. |

Has anyone announced that anyone is riding a Panigale in the 2012 AMA Superbike races? I'd be surprised to see any teams running the Panigale in Superbike, simply because Ducati are concentrating on running it at Superstock level in 2012 with the plan of launching it to WSB in 2013. The factory WSB team are sticking with the current bike for another year. Domestic superbike series running with a privateer team may be a different matter of course, but I can't see a small team wanting to lead development of a new bike when the factory want to leave it in Superstock to iron out any potential glitches for another 12 months. In BSB there will be no Ducati team in 2012 as they think the current rules regarding spec ECU etc don't suit their bike. I think the AMA series may be similar as Ducati have stayed away for similar reasons for a while. Interesting to see who the new EBR sponsor will be though, and good news that they have anoher top level rider on board |

What great news!! Just think of the direction the EBR is going now? When Eslick was racing for Buell before, look what information they gathered and pushed toward the 1190. What is just over the horizon for EBR? I can hardly wait!! |
