Yes, knee ligament actually called Cranial Cruciate ligament on a dog. She is one tough cookie, she is (was) just holding her leg up and bouncing around not really showing any signs of pain. The dr gave her some pain biscuits today and she is just sleeping here next to me, and im making myself sick reading about this procedure.

I just Googled "Cranial Cruciate". Sounds like a really crippling problem if you let it go. It's really good that you were able to do something about it.

Yea she is set up with the best of the best in the area. They are doing the "tight rope" repair , and the cost includes water therapy. Hope to having her back in the field in spring.
nah.. she just plopped down there for a second and I caught it with the camera. Within a few seconds, she was back up looking to start some trouble with the older dogs
Ha! I have a Border Terrier called Vinnie and my other half and I had ideas of adapting a top box for the dog.... you know, air vents, top section to look out through etc., etc. But we decided there was no way Vinnie would have any of it. Nice idea though, saves him being left alone at home whilst we are out on our bikes.
Just got Sam about 2 weeks ago. Sam is a 4 year old Standard Poodle and is a retired service dog. He was trained to assist a child who had severe tumorous sclerosis that progressed to the point that she had to be institutionalized so he was returned to the trainer. Sam was trained to detect seizures and blood sugar levels. My wife has juvenile onset diabetes and he has alerted on her several times.
His training also included extensive obedience lessons. He is one of the best behaved dogs I have ever encountered. I go jogging with him and he stays heeled for the entire 5 kilometers. You hardly know he's there. He comes immediately when called. Very friendly, always greets me with a woof and a wag. Just a fantastic dog.
No matter how general lowdown miserable the news, coming here makes me feel better.
Found this picture while searching out some other stuff. Bunny came up to the dog & burrowed into her fur. - Had to restrain the dog to keep her from mothering the bunny to death; treated it like a newborn pup.
Haha- my old buddy, a Basenji, used to love wading in the creek alongside the greenway here, (not so much swimming)... I always thought he was a little weird, as Basenji's as a breed generally hate getting wet.
WTF, do you have shag carpet at the bottom of that pool?
