Blake, try Valhalla Rising. Not a typical film. No, not at all.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0862467/
My fav viking movies are "The Vikings" with Tony Curtis ( the Brooklyn viking ) Kirk Douglas, Ernest Borgnine.
And... "13th Warrior" with Antonio Banderas, ( and some really great actors you never heard of ) Not authentic as to armor, at all. But a great fantasy from a book by Michael Crichton. ( Andromeda Strain, Congo, Jurassic Park, Twister... http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000341/ )
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120657/
http://www.zuguide.com/#The-13th-Warrior (trailer worth watching IMHO)

Fox is imperfect to a great degree. So...I'd put it slightly left of actual center. ( not counting commentaries. Counting them.... Anything with keith Uberman would make Stalin blush ) MSNBC slightly left of Pravda, and NPR? Willing to propagandize ( for lots of money ) for Islamic Terrorists and against those darn Jews that run the papers, but not NPR. Oh, no. ( at least that's what NPR reps told people they thought were Muslim Brotherhood )

+1 Aesquire on the NPR/Muslim Brotherhood tie in.

At least Fox told us about that.

Anti-Fox = Pro-anything that the current admin/newspapers/msm want to spoon feed you.

Aren't you the ones who always tell us to think for ourselves? Seems to me we don't have the narrow view, you do

Froggy,

You really fall flat by attacking Fox News for "lying" by posting a piece that in itself is a lie about Fox News. Nothing new here. The internet is full of this stuff, usually with some grain of truth behind it.

It's work a read about what happened in that case. http://www.campaignfreedom.org/blog/detail/fox-lie s-videotape-debunking-an-internet-myth Not exactly even close to what relfe.com represents it to be. Basically the jury was never even looking at the question of if the reporting by Fox News was accurate or a distortion. It's fully debunked complete with good references including the response by the FCC.

It's also funny seeing those sights that show "bias" on the part of Fox News by selecting stories or screen shots to prove the bias. It's easy to do this to any news organization (assuming they report any news at all). Just select the stories that prove your point and ignore the rest. Unfortunately this only shows the bias of the one doing the audit, not the bias of the one being audited. When comprehensive studies have been attempted across various new sources Fox News has been shown to provide news that is far less biased than the rest of it's competitors.

More Lefties on the FN payroll:
Alan Colmes
Juan Williams.
Kirsten Powers.
Ben Stein.
Geraldo Rivera.

Don't forget Gretta Van Susteren. I've seen her admit on air that she is a Democrat. Then there's Bob Beckel. He leaves zero doubt about which team he's playing for.

The best thing about Fox News is that you get to see liberals allowed to view their ideas where they can be challenged. If not for the damage they are doing to our country it would be great reality TV.

It would be very interesting to see how many 'facts' fox news has gotten wrong, misconstrued, or actually flat out lied about....

and yeah o'reilly is an idiot, look into his insult to WWII veterans regarding Malmedy..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0aAVifJqDE

sad... sad because people watch this f*cktard and then think his ramblings are facts....

Doesn't Orielly (king of cable news btw) admit when he is wrong and usually add that to his comentary? I have seen him do this many times... and sincerly too. No one is perfect but Bill is very close to it. It is a TV show. Msnbstupid are very snide whenever remarking about republicans or tea party, Fox at least shows both sides and you can make your own decision. I watch all 3 channels.

They all suck at times. Thats when I watch Local "real" news. Remember when that was all there was?

That's funny bringing Keith Olbermann into this discussion. Even his colleagues wont stick up for him.

The sad part is folks thinking O'Reilly is "news".

He's an Op Ed guy. So's Hannity. So was Glenn Beck.

No one confuses Al Sharpton or that ugly boy Maddow for being unbiased news readers.

Why the double standard?

I think most of the haters have never even bothered to watch FoxNews, news or commentary. It is easier to hate than think.

Why the double standard?

Show me where the left doesn't apply a double standard with any kind of consistency.

Most of the time I see people bashing "Faux News" and they can't even quote anything correctly.

I just laugh...

SDave,

>>> yeah o'reilly is an idiot, look into his insult to WWII veterans regarding Malmedy

It wasn't an insult. It was a mistake. He merely confused the names of the towns.

quote:

It was in the wake of the Malmedy incident at Chegnogne that on New Year’s Day 1945 some 60 German POWs were shot in cold blood by their American guards. The guilt went unpunished. It was felt that the basis for their action was orders that no prisoners were to be taken. ... O’Reilly was wrong when he said that this war crime happened at Malmédy.  It actually happened at Chegnogne, but it happened because of the so-called Malmédy Massacre.

From: http://furtherglory.wordpress.com/2011/01/26/keith -olbermann-vs-bill-oreilly-on-the-malmedy-massacre /

Took me about twenty seconds via google to find the truth. :/
