Great news to share: Found out today that the mini-Goldie that I was helping some friends place in a new home was just taken to her new home this morning! It took a few false starts from those who called and a couple that even came by to see her, but she's now living up somewhere near Norris Dam, with a couple and their two kids, gonna be an indoor dog, with access to a large piece of property outside... Nice to be involved in a feel-good story with a happy ending...  | ||

Yes, yes sir it does. Bella and I are going to our first obedience class tonight and check things out. From the sounds of it it's pretty informal, at the park, and go at your own pace. For the most part she's really well behaved, will stay in the yard and very rarely ever even barks. BUT she's a people person, she has to meet everyone RIGHT NOW. So if we can calm her down just a little I think we can take her more places with us where there's going to be a crowd. | ||

Tomorrow (September 13) is my pal Tabatha's birthday...#15! Born on Friday the 13th, her breeder named all of the litter after witches and warlocks: Endora, Samantha, etc.  She's had AT LEAST nine lives and used them all: Broken leg (twice), immune system disease, gastric torsion, and some others that would have taken down mortal dogs and some small banks. But she is still here keeping me company. She's moving a LOT slower than 15 years ago when she'd make EVERYONE laugh because she'd NEVER stop moving, and ALWAYS at warp speed.  I'm tempted now to get her a shirt with an orange triangle on it. She's been a great buddy, companion and constant source of entertainment. She's the last dog standing from my prior herd of 4. she sleeps a LOT now...I envy her!! Next year when she makes it to 16, I plan to buy her a car once she gets her learner's permit! Any suggestions?  | ||

Milo and Torq decided to eat a diaper last night. NOT good, as not only can the insides be toxic, they can swell in their insides and plug up intestines requiring surgery. Fortunately, it appears we are in the clear, almost 24 hours later and they are pooping normal! Whew! Milo was a bit tired this afternoon:  Torq was his usual, goofy self!  | ||

Quite literally. We took them home, had them eat and drink lots, then they ran and ran and ran outside for like 3 hours. Nothing. So at about 10:00, Sam and I took them for a nice long walk, got home and they pooped!  | ||
