I think the botched Fast and Furious gun deal could be bigger. Our law enforcement died because of their ineptness. I firmly believe that this goes at least to Holder and if he's there, Obama HAD to know too.
... a firm backed by billionaire Philip Falcone, a prominent donor to Obama's Democratic party.
Odd how a phrase like that is read in nearly every report of special favors. Has Congress actually checked to see if waivers from PelosiCare ALL went to donors? Have people who did not Donate to Obama been turned down?
How freaking obvious do you have to be before you get impeached? Order guns sold to mexican drug lords to make your lies true? ( oh, wait, they've DONE THAT ) Order 26000 jobs stopped by Boeing to make your Union buddies happy? ....

My favorite is Cain. He has good ideas. He has actually run a business. He's not Washington.
I don't think I want to elect someone who knows "how to get things done" in Washington.
I want to elect someone who is going to change how things are done in Washington.
Romney could be good depending on who shows up:
I want this one to show up. The mealy mouth, go along to get along Romney can stay home.
Perry will probably get the nod, but the more I see of him, the more concerns I have.
I know I DON'T want Ron Paul. He's Perot but less electable. I don't think I want Bachmann. I don't want Huntsman.
I would take Newt, but I believe he is in for a position on the cabinet rather than to win. He is good for steering the discourse. He is brilliant and his ideas are excellent. I'm just not sure he can offload enough baggage.

I think Cain is great. There is something to be said for having some experience in dealing with how the legislature works though. It's not like being CEO of your own business. He would be a fantastic pick after 8 years as VP though!
Romney isn't bad, but I'm not convinced that he is firmly grounded in conservative ideals. He seems a little too flexible sometimes. Still not too bad.
I like what I've seen of Perry. I want to believe that he has really switched teams from his early years. I'd like to know more about his record since he made the switch. Being liberal when you're younger isn't really too unusual.
I don't really care much for Bachmann and Ron Paul is pretty much at the bottom of my wish list.

Me me me, I'd do a great job, I'm tolerant, even handed & have loads of great ideas. Only problem is I wasn't born in the US, mind you with a bit of digging I'm sure I could find a precedent to be president.......
Demolition Man.... more of that movie has come true than I care for. The new revenue source for this gov't is about one notch away from fining you for un PC speech or speech of such truthiness that it is considered and 'attack'
Well.... the "Jobs Bill of 2012" has in fact appeared. Written by a R, and it's 2 pages of tax cuts. Obama's bill seems to be 152 pages long and be 1.5 trillion in new taxes. I haven't seen it yet, is it up on the web site for it's promised time ahead of any vote?
Has even ONE of these promises been kept?
Has anyone actually figured out if companies with Obamacare waivers are donors? Has anyone actually figured out if car dealers shut down by this administration during the bailout of GM & Chrysler were R or D donors?
If I give Obama a lot of money, will he give me half a billion of your money too?
Avast all ye mateys of the Argghbama team. The crime czar is going to propose a massive tax hike on the "rich" today. Is is going to be indexed for inflation? Guess who is going to be hit by it? (Hint, it ain't the Rich).
Remember AMT? You know, the legislation that aimed to tax the rich. Guess who it is hitting?
When will ye fresh water pirates stop supporting this peg legged plunderer of yer dubloons?
I really shouldn't be so hard on the guy. Perhaps my perspective on his reign is flawed by my lack of watching Fox.
Perhaps the great Times of London will give me the viewpoint to at last love this great leader in the Puppeteer tradition ( Larry Niven's Known Space Series. The puppeteer species, herbivores, are led from behind by the Hindmost. Science fiction.... )
>>>>So he's going to start making the bottom 50% pay taxes too?
If he does . . . I hope he gets the 3 gals who were buying the car the other day.
They 3 of them, 2 sisters and their mother . . each get $3,200 a month. One sister "cares" for the other, another sister "cares" for the mom and the mom "cares" for one of the sisters.
In total they get $9,600 a month, tax free, from the public assistance folks.
No kidding . . . and it's perfectly legit. Think . . . $115,200 cash with no taxes a year . . all living in the same apt.
And to think stupid ol' me was wondering how this raggedy looking gal was paying in $100 bills for a spanking new 2011 car.

"The original aid package requires Greece to reduce its deficit to 7.5 percent of gross domestic product this year, and below 3 percent by 2014, according to the International Monetary Fund.
The reduced number of workers employed in the public sector would only add to the difficulty of meeting these targets as payroll tax collections shrink."
Just a note, the AK's referred too were NOT assault rifles. semi auto only. The SKS was NEVER an assault rifle. Never made full auto. The Clinton legacy of lies lives on.
That's wrong. Don't you know anything? an "assault rifle" is any gun that looks scary. The ass hats who passed the assault weapons ban in the 90's said so. I watched the entire debate on CSPAN while home with a raging flu. That debate is what shifted me out of "I don't care about politics" mode. The arguments the D's were providing were entirely emotionally based. They would bring up some poor mother who had lost her son to gun violence and have her recount the horrifying event of her son's death. Never mind that the guy who shot him was a career criminal with a gun that wouldn't be banned under the proposed legislation. The R's arguments were entirely factual and logical. They brought numbers. They brought definitions of weapons and attempted to classify guns based on their capabilities, and not just how they looked. They pointed out that two rifles, both with equal length barrels, magazine capacity, and rates of fire would be treated differently under the law. One would be banned as an "assault rifle" the other would not. The only difference was their appearance. This line of reasoning was lost upon the D's and the ban passed.
