Poor Mr. Obama. They’re calling him “President Zero.” Because August produced zero new jobs. Between the shifty Wall St. TARP bailout of his predecessor, Bush the younger, and the Obama Stimulus of money spent and nothing gained, it's been a lost decade for most folk. How many new jobs have been created in the last 10 years? Zero. There were about 130 million jobs in America in the year 2000. There are about 130 million today. How much more does the average wage-earner make? Zero. Adjusted for inflation, he made about $16 an hour in 2001. He still makes about $16 an hour. How much more are stocks worth? Zero. How much more does a house sell for? Zero. By all the important measures, Americans are Zero better off than they were a decade ago. But wait. They’re much worse off. They have much more debt. Here are some numbers that aren’t zero. In round numbers, total debt to GDP increased from around 200% to over 350%. Federal debt alone went from 57% of GDP to nearly 100% today. Europe is about to commit EU hari kari and we Yanks can't afford to bail them out. The developing world is losing steam. What's the Global Economy to do? Zero. |

Quote... "How much more does the average wage-earner make? Zero. Adjusted for inflation, he made about $16 an hour in 2001. He still makes about $16 an hour." Dare I say it... Because the unions are dying and so is the good honest wage right with them. Do you know how many good paying jobs were lost due to NAFTA and how many local unions died off??? I lost one 10 years ago to Mexico. Ten years ago I was making $8 an hour more than todays average. I'm not going to bitch to much as I have a good job unlike many of my fellow American's. Clinton... I want him back in the White House... Elect Hillary he will help her rebuild and smoke a few cigars doing it!!! |

After watching Hoffa the other day . . . it's pretty clear the unions are not going anywhere . . . .think of it as yet another zero . . fast. Just who I'd NOT choose to lead . . . a washed up union thug and an inexperienced neighborhood organizer. Any questions about why "Zero" is struggling? Wonder if Hoffa has had a chance to visit with the head of the union at Gibson Memphis about the folks they are laying off and the production they'll move over seas after the raid? |

None of this has anything to do with individuals and the choices they make. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I guess living in a country where a felon with a (barely) high school education can support a family of 5 on a single income in a 3000 sq ft house in a beautiful neighborhood isn't really enough... No... I'm sure I'd be much happier on the dole. |

How can those stats be true when there are more ppeople unemployed now then ten years ago? Personally ibwas way better off 2.5 years ago. Then it went downhill and it just starting to pick up. But it could fall downhill at any moment too. I thought Gibson was a non-union company? |

I hate to say it but I think the future of jobs in the US is not good. Most Blue Collar jobs we will be going overseas simply because it's much cheaper and competition will force companies to find cheaper labor. I worry about white collar jobs as well. As technology increases so does efficiency. 1 efficient white collar worker can produce what 2 would produce years ago. That trend is going to continue. So, even as companies grow, increase revenues and profits, etc, I don't think that is going to equal the job growth that you would have seen in past decades. In other words, if you are a blue collar worker, things don't look good. If you are a white collar worker and you are unemployed now, the options available to you might be slim and you might have to settle for underemployement. Also, here is a sad fact ... the job number that are talked about every day do not consider the number of people that are underemployed, making tens of thousands less than they used to because they just had to accept whatever job was offered to them. |

>>> Because the unions are dying and so is the good honest wage right with them. That's hilarious, "union" and "honest" in the same sentence. Don't tell the non-union workers at Toyota, a company that has seen incredible growth while GM went bankrupt. It amazes me how some folks can make up their own reality completely separated from facts and history. Bill Whittle explains it well... The Truth Is Out There |

>>> Most Blue Collar jobs we will be going overseas simply because it's much cheaper and competition will force companies to find cheaper labor. Are computer tech, networking, communications, and IT jobs considered "blue collar"? How many of those do we have today versus twenty years ago? I can't see the validity of gloom and doom for jobs in America, not at all. If the tax and spend Keynesian idiots killing our economy would get out of the way, things here would be absolutely booming. Nothing kills an economy like uncertainty. We are drowning in uncertainty now thanks to the idiots, liars, and corrupt bozos in Washington. I will credit Obama with killing the overzealous EPA mandate to limit ozone emissions to 60 parts per billion, down from the current 75 PPB set under Bush 43. Are you freakin' kidding me, 60 parts per billion? That is 0.00000006 to 1 or 0.000006%. Seems like some folks put pristine air as a priority over everything else. Smog is an issue in some areas. Why mandate sweeping limits nationwide, when only a few particular areas suffer the most from smog? Shades of Cloward-Piven. |

Look we have to get rid of the nonsence regulations. I dont thinkno one in D C under stand economics . we need a steady supply og energy these jobs are high tec. and pay good, dril-- dril we have more oil than we can use so follow me here 1 we have let our righ leave the countary lets build new ones =puting our closed up ship yards to work- 2will need more pipe lines =puting our equipment factories to wor (catapillar and john deer ect. to work 3will need to transport oil from offshore build tugs and barges. 4 will need more refinerys 5will need a large support force; 5sell excess oil on open mkt. 6will need more trucking companys 7 as we will be runing out of people by then lets put those teachers back to work runing training schools. I think you get the picture It will not cost the tax payer a if we stop with the dumb s23i coming out of Washington So to sumerise we need to close EPA and come down hard on unions. If we are not willing to do this we will continue to go dawn hill like hell after a yerling. |

Obama, spelled Zero B A .... is no mystery. The intention on the part of he and his bootlicks is clearly to cause such damage to our economy (that) the Progressive movement garners more control of government and business. For them it's about power, not money. Every union job lost is a plus for them, from a political control standpoint. No matter what lip service Zerobama offers, he and his lefties want violence. It's easy to get a segment of union members to make mischief. See what happened in Longview, WA, at the grain terminal today. http://news.yahoo.com/longshoremen-storm-wash-stat e-port-damage-rr-144921214.html |

I was recently in the hospital visiting and had a couple brief encounters with some healthworkers. They were 100% for Obamacare and ALL hated the republicans, and didn't know who was running against Obama and didn't care. And they blamed GWB on all the older people not getting proper healthcare and blamed Reaganomics on the failing US economy. (I found this article today pretty much proving them wrong: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB100014240531119048 75404576530412322260784.html ) Another chap was in the cafeteria touting Trump as an evil dog and GWB as the sole reason we are in this mess. He said he was definately voting for Obama, he thinks Obama will make the world a better place for everyone. |

Obamacare will mean lousy health care for everyone. People will still need money to get certain things done. Having been behind the Iron Curtain years back, and having known doctors and medical professors, a crap system requires families or friends of patients to bribe staff for many things. Healthcare is free, a microsurgeon told me over vodka, but if you want a bed in the hospital, it takes a bribe. And a small fee to the orderly to help your relative go to the bathroom, a fee to change sheets, and drugs? Money, up front. Many stories of people dying at home of cancer, in pain, because the family did not have the financial resources to pay the bribes or for painkillers. Zerobama certainly wants this experience for us, to punish us for being great. Otherwise, he'd actually work FOR us instead of parlaying his revanchist misery on the middle class. |

" click, pull, click one chamber closer to the next 'civil' war. This one, as well as the last one, will be about state rights versus Federal Superiority. Watching closely the evacuation and 'aid' efforts in response to the hurricane it is exactly the crisis they love to exploit. |

How would you feel if you were one of the folks moving into the area . . and knew that someone had to "lower their standards" to accommodate you? There are no feelings of remorse. The guiding principal of all on the dole is "I'm gettin' mine". If you got what you didn't earn, why should you care. It's Robin Hood. You got it because it was stolen from some rich white guy. These folks are just sad there isn't more. |

"It's Robin Hood" I disagree. Robin Hood stole from the aristocracy, who were overtaxing their subjects to support their lifestyle. He returned the taxes to the people. Sounds like the TEA party to me. |

while we are at it I'll throw this in it's worth looking at: Hi all, I totally agree 100%. I came to this country in 92 and did what I had to to get papers and eventually my citizenship.Unfortunately, we have to add to that lovely mess we are in, all of our legal people that rip off the system and add to this horrible situation. Reading that E-Mail made me think of a conversation Dave and I just had about our lovely neighbors, who are, I have to add legal. By ripping off the system, and our system is allowing them to do so, they not only enjoy free health care, but also a couple of quads, a HUGE ship which they enjoy all summer, free lunches, and lots of other perks! I won't vote for any of our current idiots that are holding some kind of position, and I hope everybody else wakes up and does the same! That's all folks! CT Date: Sep 8, 2011 4:02:09 PM Subject: Fwd: JOE vs. JOSE JOE vs. JOSE Interesting when you work the numbers. You have two families: "Joe Legal" and "Jose Illegal". Both families have two parents, two children, and live in California . Joe Legal works in construction, has a Social Security Number and makes $25.00 per hour with taxes deducted. Jose Illegal also works in construction, has NO Social Security Number, and gets paid $15.00 cash "under the table". Ready? Now pay attention... Joe Legal: $25.00 per hour x 40 hours = $1000.00 per week, or $52,000.00 per year. Now take 30% away for state and federal tax; Joe Legal now has $31,231.00. Jose Illegal: $15.00 per hour x 40 hours = $600.00 per week, or $31,200.00 per year. Jose Illegal pays no taxes. Jose Illegal now has $31,200.00. Joe Legal pays medical and dental insurance with limited coverage for his family at $600.00 per month, or $7,200.00 per year Joe Legal now has $24,031.00. Jose Illegal has full medical and dental coverage through the state and local clinics at a cost of $0.00 per year. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00. Joe Legal makes too much money and is not eligible for food stamps or welfare. Joe Legal pays $500.00 per month for food, or $6,000.00 per year. Joe Legal now has $18,031.00. Jose Illegal has no documented income and is eligible for food stamps and welfare. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00. Joe Legal pays rent of $1,200.00 per month, or $14,400.00 per year. Joe Legal now has 9,631.00. Jose Illegal receives a $500.00 per month federal rent subsidy. Jose Illegal pays out that $500.00 per month, or $6,000.00 per year. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00. Joe Legal pays $200.00 per month, or $2,400.00 for insurance. Joe Legal now has $7,231.00. Jose Illegal says, "We don't need no stinkin' insurance!" and still has $31,200.00. Joe Legal has to make his $7,231.00 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline, etc. Jose Illegal has to make his $31,200.00 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline, and what he sends out of the country every month. Joe Legal now works overtime on Saturdays or gets a part time job after work. Jose Illegal has nights and weekends off to enjoy with his family. Joe Legal's and Jose Illegal's children both attend the same school. Joe Legal pays for his childrens lunches, while Jose Illegal's children get a government sponsored lunch. Jose Illegal's children have an after school ESL program. Joe Legal's children go home. Joe Legal and Jose Illegal both enjoy the same police and fire services, but Joe paid for them and Jose did not pay. Do you get it, now? If you vote for or support any politician that supports illegal aliens... You are part of the problem! |
