Everybody with Buell tattoos is having them removed since Buell and Buell Motorcycle Company and the old Pegasus logos are all Harley-owned. Don't know if anybody has E_B_R tat work done yet. Kinda like the drunk sailor getting "ESMERELDA" tattooed while overseas... only to find that when he starts dating LOUISE - it gets difficult. (Message edited by slaughter on August 14, 2011) | ||

I have a pegasus on my upper arm with 2003 under it. I got it during the 20th Anniversary that we Buell owners threw because the Mothership was too cheap to spend anything for loyal and appreciative Buell owners. There were four of us at that particular tattoo parlor, that day, but I only remember Spiderman and Scott. I've forgotten who the fourth person was. It doesn't matter that H-freakin-D owns the design, it's a memory of a great event that was 100% enthusiast driven. I don't have any pictures of it. Dyna took some, at the time, but he doesn't hang out here any more. | ||

But, that's just me... guess i think of it as the bikes i like not the guy that built them. otherwise i suppose i would have put erik buell. suppose i could always say its bebe buell... if i see a harley tat it sure doesnt make me think of the guys that started the company. | ||

I have a half-sleeve tattoo that's a surrealistic scene being viewed by a motorcyclist as he passes by (from the rider's point of view). The motorcycle that's in the bottom part of the scene is taken from a photograph of my Cyclone. It was my way of having my favorite motorcycle tattooed on me without it looking like a Buell advertisement. Most people don't even notice the motorcycle ( let alone know what brand it is) as it's a small part of the overall piece. ...and no, I have no plans of ever having it removed or covered over. | ||

This conversation about having them removed comes from about 6-7 years ago when folks were talking about copyrighted images and Hardley being able to take back their copyright-protected images. Feeble attempt at humor. I've got too many scars and protruding bones to worry about tats as identification. Besides since my last booking, DNA is now acceptable as evidence. | ||
