You are once again confused. You were doing so well until that last really bizarre outburst. I don't disagree with your point concerning KTM's ultimate goal in AMA SBK racing, but that doesn't at all preclude the fact that the factory KTM team would ALSO very much like to avoid being shown up by Erik Buell Racing. The winner between the two will have bragging rights. Losing to Erik Buell Racing will hurt sales of the KTM. They've had a major head start having already campaigned the bike in other SBK series and they have a lot more invested in high tech go-fast electro-wizardry. If they get beat by Erik Buell Racing on the very first race outing of the 1190, they will NOT be happy, understandably so. One goal is long term. The other is short term. Both matter to KTM. Pretending otherwise is silly. |

Wow, no name calling or anything, a pretty civilized response, Im impressed. But disagree with something - the losing sales part - the person looking to purchasing the KTM isnly likely in the same category as the person looking to by a 1190RS Maybe later when Erik Buell Racing has more mass produced, lower cost bikes, sure. But right now, no, sales wont be affected for KTM if Erik Buell Racing does better than them in the next couple of races. An example would be Grand Am racing in the GT class - you have vettes and porsches and camaros and rx8s mainly. And a couple of Ferarris, but they never do well and there are just a couple that race at the 24 Hour race only. Anyway - if a Porsche wins the GT class they arent going to take sales away from people thinking about the RX8 or Camaro, two totally different buyers 99% of the time. And I think thats what you have here RIGHT NOW. 40k bikes VS sub 20k Ego - yeah, them getting beaten for spots by a much much smaller company and team would hurt their ego some for sure. |

>>> Maybe later when Erik Buell Racing has more mass produced, lower cost bikes, sure. That is what I was meaning. Let's hope Erik Buell Racing can beat them tomorrow. They have some SERIOUS work to do. |

Fingers are crossed, hoping May doesnt get held up by anyone tomorrow Im not going to say he couldve scored higher than KTM today, but I truly think he couldve cut some of the gap that Beach let Filmore get on him. |

He was only 1.5 seconds back of Fillmore when the red flag hit on lap 7. Didn't look like he had anything for Fillmore today though. Maybe tomorrow. New air in the tires and all ought to help. |
