While I was at Barber last weekend, I ran across the Buell Pace bike in the basement part of the museum. It didn't have any info on it, but pretty interesting bike.

Sorry for the crummy pics, my wife was in charge of pictures and it was packed in with a bunch of other bikes.

Anybody have any interesting info on this?

Yep, during the 2009 AMA race season they used 1125R and Ulysses police bikes. : )

I remember that the AMA experimented with NASCAR style rolling grid starts in DSB that year, which ended up being pretty horrible.

Here is quick shot from my footage from the track that year.

The one in the museum looks quite interesting.
As in, it has a race frame, chain drive, quick change hardware. And NO pace vehicle lights.

Hmmm.

I kinda liked the rolling starts.

I did too. Warm tires and no charlie foxtrot in turn one. I don't watch races to see who survives the first turn.

Calling Court... any more info on these beauties? That doesn't look like the 1125R pace bikes we've seen before... and the CF one!?!?

It looks like a DSB spec 1125R vs more stock spec of the pace bike I took photos of at NJMP. They probably had a dozen bikes so they didn't need to haul as much around.
