Bump...

NPR had a good segment on yesterday- "This American Life" IIRC- all about dads. Three or four great stories.

I miss my dad- think I'll call my stepdad and wish him a happy day today.

My dad's been gone since the early 80's.
My stepson Josh just called - made my day!

Happy Father's Day to all to which that may apply.

I sent some of my old man's WW2 paraphernalia to the USN sub museum in Groton this year. He was on a "Freo" boat, the Rasher (SS269) in Fremantle, AUS. Quite a guy. My oldest and I are going out for guy stuff this afternoon. Have a great day all of you.

Just got back from lunch with my kids; humbling to see what great people they turned out to be. Erik just received his Red Seal Chef certification and is packing up his guitars and basses and heading for Vancouver, daughter Alex is entering her third year of university, but seriously misses the machine shop.......life is so freakin good it brings tears to my eyes.

The day you were on the 210 bridge, I and my son were on the high trestle trail bridge shown in the background. It truly was a beautiful day...one to cherish. 'Glad we all could enjoy it in our two wheel world.

Thank you Ltbuell. I have hundreds of pictures like that from the 30's and 40's. My cousin is scouring them with a magnifying glass for every detail(he's like that with family history). I'll have to see if I can get a scanner to work for me when I get them back..........

My daughters made my day:

Lynz (left) rode up with her boyfriend, Darz on the right rode with me. Great time had by all and it was great to get back to the Santa Monica Mountains.
