Agreed. He is very good at putting together clips and tidbits to warp a viewers perception of reality though. | ||

I got one of his books..... horrible. So bad I couldn't make it past the second chapter. I think I remember him ridiculing Bush for being on Air Force One during the 9/11 attacks. He thought that it was more vulnerable to attack from terrorists in passenger jets. He's an idiot. | ||

Yes, honestly he is doing nothing more than making propaganda films. The part(s) of BFC that I saw today were talking about cops and how it shows mainly black people commiting crimes, the pollution problem in Hollywood and how Canadians have no worries. This was all in about 15 minutes. A) I LOVE cops, love seeing people F up and get busted. Yes, there are black people on there. But just as many as whites, hispanics etc etc B) Dont talk to a cop while he is the scene of a crime, working, and make it seem like he is avoiding the questions. His job and what is at hand is far more important than your movie. And yes, a person with a gun IS more important right then over CA having a pollution problem. C)Interviewing 20 Canadians, out of millions, that say they dont lock their door isnt really telling us anything. Hell I could easily find 20 people in this county that dont lock their doors every day. I dont know, it just irks me that a guy like that spewing the BS that he does is famous for it. Its a shame he wasnt living int the late 30s.....In Germany.....and then hunted. | ||

Even when I was young and liberal he bugged me... I remember hearing the idea behind "Roger and Me" and a few descriptions of scenes... and I was really looking forward to seeing it, it sounded like great fun. Then I saw it. I got maybe 15 minutes into it and decided "whatever other points may be trying to be made here, MM is just a jerk" and walked away. I've mercifully avoided everything else he has done since. |
