Karla Bear

Miss Karla is now 2 1/2 years old and very protective of the house and occupants.

She and the cat get along just fine.

She's a big bitch, at 105#, but sure doesn't look overweight.

I am going to add another dog to the family, planning on adopting a retired greyhound. My brother has two and they're great dog's! Already started working with the local adoption agencies and will be looking at some of the available dogs this weekend.

My wife has taken a few looks at some female mixed bully breeds... its just a matter of time until we have a 3rd...
I hope to go the rescue route again. I can't tell you how nice it was/is to get a dog that was already somewhat trained and housebroken

Don't have a dog, but a funny dog story. My buddy had a mutt, probably part shepherd and pointer, and some golden retriever in it. Great dog, great hunter, but so docile. She used to love going on my buddy's boat so we would drive about 1 mile to the lake and she'd follow alongside the car in the woods. We clocked her at 45 mph one day. However one day she took a shortcut and we didn't see where she went. So we got to the dock and start unloading and a few minutes later here she comes out of the woods with a huge half-cooked flank steak in her mouth. Apparently she detoured through someones yard and picked up a snack along the way. Never found out who lost a steak that day.

how many different names do you call you animals....

This is Charley
then it went to Char Char
than turned into Char Char Binks
that turned into Binkers
now he gets called Charley Binkers... but responds to Charley, Binkers & Charley Binkers...
I bet he wishes we would make up our minds...

On May 7th I went to work to find a poor stray dog who did'nt look like he was doing well so i grab a blanket and took him to the shelter i felt that at least they would put him down humanely the poor dog was old and would'nt have made it thru the night however for some reason all week i could not stop thinking of this dog so this past saturday i drove to the shelter for some closure to know they put him down when i walked in i told them i was the one who dropped off a dog last saturday and just wanted to know what happened to him they told me i could look in the back and much to my surprise there he was looking clean and happy i was shocked and asked if he could be adopted they thought i was crazy he walks with a limp has no teeth but i did'nt care so of course i called my hubby ( who we call dr doolittle ) and asked if he would mind and of course he said sure and hopefully our chihuahua reco ( who thinks he is a german shepard will be as happy as we are and comet also a chihuahua so we would like to introduce the newest member of our family his name is JACK
