One of my pals is 6'3" and he has owned one. He found it comfortable.
I wasn't uncomfortable, (apart from needing a regular knee straightening) but I was a bit too folded up for track use. |

Those top speeds sound low to me. I know the Buell's is low.

I don't know, sounds pretty accurate to me, especially if they were headed into any kind of wind.
The naked bikes do well up to about 70mph, then things start to get a bit windy. |

They even say that these speeds were at the rev limiter. That should be about 141 for the Buell shouldn't it. For purposes of retaining my CDL I have to disclose that I have no practical experience in this matter.  |

I was surprised how similar the ergonomics were. When I sat on one, it felt VERY similar to an SS. It was the perfect fit for me. INSTANTLY felt comfortable.

6'5" and 255.
10 years ago I was twice that 160.
To me the wind makes no difference till around 85mph and only then after about 3 hours of it.
But you can't tour that fast for an extended period here.
The roads are too twisty or too heavily policed. |

You pretty much have to run in the 70-80mph range if you're on the interstate in the ATL Metro area.
Not a real problem for me as I avoid interstate travel and the metro area like the plague.
I'm all about those twisties though! |

I had an '07 Speed Triple before I bought my 1125R.
Excellent bike. I'd buy another in a heartbeat. |

I sat on an 08 or 09 before buying my xb12. Didn't like the seat to handlebar length compared to the xb. I couldnt find any reviews that mentioned they shortened this distance. The street triple felt like the xb however or at least more so than the speed triple. |

Johnny, you should go sit on the new S3. That single part of the ergonomics was what had me buying my XB instead of an S3 a few years back. The "fixed" it! |

Is there much vibration at idle and cruising felt through the handlebars? This is one thing I probably wont miss if I ever get rid of the xb. Not that it isn't cool initially but I think I could apprieciate a smoother engine sometimes. |

Much smoother than an XB. The XB vibes never bothered me, but I know what you mean. If I were buying a new bike tomorrow I would be really torn between the S3 and the Sprint GT. Either way you get the same power plant. Sometimes I think a bit of wind protection and bags would be nice. Most times I just like running around the neighborhood naked!  |

For both Buells, I needed to move the handlebar position farther forward. I found the S3 position much closer to the "right" position for me.
I am built like a silver back gorilla and have really long arms. Both my Uly and M2 have me alligator arms in "spirited" riding situations. |

When I did the Triumph demo day ride (where the explicitly warn against doing such things) I just had to pull a wheelie. The bike was just begging for it. It wheelied much easier than my XB12Ss. It really does make one a hooligan! |
