Ma Bueller is 87 years young today. My Mom was my very first riding buddy. I have fond memories of the time we toured the West Coast together, Crater Lake, the Redwoods, etc. She first got into motorcycles back when paved roads were a rarity, and it's her passion for life, riding and adventure that course so deeply thru my veins. This photo is from a family and friends get-together in her honor last night: FB and Ma B, photo by my kid sis Sassy Sue Happy birthday, Mom! Love always, #3 Son (Message edited by jerry_haughton on March 25, 2011) |

You're a blessed man Jerry. Sidecar with your Mom and the bottle? Just an idea. Short trips of course. Edit: by the way, she still has the sparkle in her eyes! (Message edited by two_seasons on March 23, 2011) |

Awsuum! Do tell more about those early days- was your mom a Motormaid? Or just one of the coolest moms ever when you were young? Did she ride her own bike? (I'm assuming from the OP that she did...) +1000 for taking her for a day-trip with a sidecar rig, given that it would be feasible/smart/doable- unless YOU have skills to pilot a sidehack rig, see if you can find a buddy who does, then rig up them ridercams!! Thanks for sharing! |

This is pretty cool - just noticed MaB is wearing one of her own hand-made necklaces. Had the opportunity to visit with MaB in January and was privvy to some of the ongoing fine pieces of jewelry in the making. Have been the recipient of several of her beautiful pieces of hand crafted necklaces and bracelets, not to mention some wall hangings that even the finest galleries would clamor for! Oh to have the talent, patience, skill, fine motor skills to replicate some of her work... now don't get your head to swelling son #3 but I can see where you get your fine motorcycling skills from... |

Just wrapping up a wonderful day with MaB and family. She's seen this thread, and asked me specifically to thank you all for the birthday wishes. She has posted on BWB before but it's been awhile, so we'll hafta re-remember what her password is and get her back up and running. Two_Seasons, the sidecar idea is brilliant! Mom says she thinks she's up to it, and I've got several thousand sidecar miles in my logbook, so driving the thing wouldn't be a problem. The trick will be finding a hack somewhere in/near the Kitsap County, Washington area to pull this off. Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?? Thanks again everyone, y'all are the best. Happy Birthday, Mom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FB (Message edited by jerry_haughton on March 24, 2011) |

...not to mention some wall hangings that even the finest galleries would clamor for! This is one of three wall hangings my Mom presented to me last night: It's me and my grandson Jayden on mine and Denise's wedding day last month. The piece is, simply, beautiful. My son Wade is the photographer. He captured a very special moment in time, and Mom turned it into art. She gave me two other hangings last night, one for Wade, which I can't post because we don't want him to see it until D 'n me present it to him in person, and one for Denise, again which I can't/won't post a pic of until 'til after she sees it tomorrow night. MaB is an artist at everything she does. Including life. FB |

Hey Ma Bueller!!! How cool to see your name on here again, and a million thanks to Kristi/Ulywife for proving, yet again, that she is BadWeB's ultimate house-mom. I'm layed over in Newark, the connector to Greensboro is late, but so far, so good, and I should be back home with my Sweetie in a few hours. Mom, I enjoyed every second of our visit. Love always, #3 Son |

Thank you all for your birthday wishes and kind words to my Mom - it means the world to both of us. It wouldn't be a trip to the Great Northwest without burning up some avgas in my brother Doug's '57 Bonanza. On top of picking me up at SeaTac on Tuesday and delivering me back on Thursday morning, we made a fun-run up to Bellingham on Wednesday, flew thru Whidbey Island NAS's airspace and watched an F18 coming in on final, and just by dumb luck got a private tour of the Heritage Flight Museum in Bellingham. The Puget Sound area is NOT known for gorgeous weather this time of year, but the conditions for Ma B's birthday were absolutely stellar. Ya gotta love it when a plan(e) comes together.
