Has anyone else noticed the media's use of Allied forces when referring to the situation in Libya?

I haven't noticed this use in other recent conflicts like Iraq and Afghanistan.

It's weird to me that they were using WWI and WWII terminology for our side in reference to Libya. Is there any reason for concern about this?

It is to emphasize that we're not acting unilaterally.

We weren't acting unilaterally in Iraq in 2003 either, though they love to say we were. There was more international involvement there than there was in Korea, and they all call that at UN operation.
