Anyone remember the name of that website that was posted up many months back that had all your public record stuff available? Seems like it was called "Moogle" or something, but that's a creature from the Final Fantasy video games.  It was actually a well designed, graphically-oriented site with maps and whatnot... I found myself, my phone number, my marriage status, address, home value, etc. Need to find that again to prove to my grandmother she's not as "hidden" as she thinks she is.  ~SM | ||

The most recent one I've been on is Spokeo. It will give you some teaser info. but you have to pay for the good stuff. To really freak her out pull up a pic of her house on google maps street view. | ||

Most that information on alll the sites from Spokeo to Zillow is wildly out of whack . . . as long as they keep showing me as a "female" . . I'm good to go . . . almost none of it is accurate and it's the simple product of the ability to aggregate TONS of information from a variety of sources. I presume others, like me, tend to "install" certain control data into their records. Their is, for example, one thing about me that I have NEVER written anywhere and the only person who could EVER know would be my wife or parents. I also, every time I have ever applied for any credit have ALWAYS used a different name. It makes it really easy to know who is sharing information. By the way . . . I own SOME but not all of those houses in Topeka, KS . . Marina del Rey, CA, Sacramento, CA, Waukesha, WI, Brownsville, TX, Addison, TX and New York City but not ALL of them. Keep'em guessing. |
