Wow, gotta say I'm surprised by all the comments and differing opinions my post inspired... Squid, ya nailed it on the head, I AM relatively new to Buells and my appreciation has been all post HD. Hell, I even drove from Washington state all the way down to Tucson Arizona to buy my 1125R cuz it was the closest new one left. So it's taken me awhile to adjust to the mentality of some people in regards to our brand. I'd consider myself the perfect target rider that HD had in mind when they still had Buell. Late 30's, been on crotch rockets since my late teens... My friends and I ALWAYS made fun of Harleys, and by association Buells. Then the 1125 came out. I finally bought one last year. Loved it so much that I bought a XB9SX a month later. Now I can honestly say that I understand what a rider means when they say their bike has character, Buells have got it in spades!! My Yamahas and Kawis almost seem a bit sterile and plain by comparison. Guess the point I'm trying to make is that it's taken me awhile to acclimate to some peoples (Yes, I'm refering to HD folk) attitudes towards Buells. These bikes have created an appreciation within me for HD that wasn't there before. One would think that the dealerships would still treat Buell owners with courtesy or respect for the fact that they do ride an HD product, and may someday buy another HD bike. If nothing else they are still making money selling us parts.... I've never walked into any Asian or European dealership and been treated with anything but courtesy and helpfulness. In fact some of my best Buell conversations have been at Yamaha dealers (REALLY wish E B R would make that dirtbike!!!)... As far as Latus goes, looking back I guess I did over react a bit. But I stand by what I said in that so far I've felt a lot more welcome and wanted over at Paradise. But if Latus ever gets a clean S1 in stock..... I'll be there!! ![](http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/clipart/jerkin.gif) |

Holeeey Cow! I appreciate what you're sayin. I ride the first XB9SX sold here in BLount county TN. Got to test the 1125R at Barber, with good peeps and friends. It's just weird- that your experience is opposite, time, bikes, etc. Geez. |

Oysterman-I really like the Select seat you sold me for my 9SX. I have to agree with most of the positive remarks about Latus-American Sport Bike and Bumpus. They have all been great to deal with, except for the anti-buell attitude I get from some of the Latus sales people, even the one I bought my XB from. I remember the Sandy Blvd. days and the PIR test events and wanting a Buell for years and years. If you are happy with Beaverton, more power to you. Want to ride tomorrow? 580-3140 |
