I was fine all the way up sixty. When we got there, Brit says, if you want to buy something, just ask, nothing on the table over there is for sale. I said, I'm not buying anything, we just came to help. I almost lost it when I saw Brits face. It was almost like a funeral, complete with the circling buzzards. Fortunately GT saw fit to shoe them off and lock the front door. I don't feel like I helped out that much, I wasn't sure what to do, so I just moved things from up stairs to down stairs, and put stuff in the trailer outside. Hung out with Mike(Buellish), talked with GT and Brit, and just did. When things started winding down I shook GT's hand and gave Brit a hug, she was crying, I was ok til I got out to the truck. Aylaw this sucks. Anyhow... While we were talking to GT absolutely none of this made any sense at all. GT divided the 1.4 by what T.W.O is on then added 25% as a first offer, willing to go higher, no deal. Month to month until sale, no deal. The landowner is a real estate attorney, which really baffles me. The land is zoned as agricultural, so if T.W.O ceases to exist, as in gone, you could grow stuff, or raise livestock, not develop. Ann being the in business for more several years, says he has to either be spiteful, plain ol' dumb, or have something up his sleeve. Time will tell. Brit gave Ann some dishes, and the microwave, GT gave me some T.W.O stickers. We picked up Jim's picture, and bent handle bars from Jeff's attempt to fly over Wolf Pen, they're in good hands until we can get them to y'all. Looks like next weekend is it. GT says it'll be ok to come by, but it's pretty much already over. There'll be some people there to say good bye and swap stories, but that's about it. It's the end of an era, I'm proud to have been a teeny tiny bit of the T.W.O story... |

Just curious, what is the story of the various old motorcycles that are abandoned around the place? I recall one of them had a tree grow through it. |

I believe they have been there since Frank, Britts step father owned the place, back in the early 90's. |

When my failed attempt to fly over wolf pen gap happened, I stole some nuts and bolts from one of those old bikes from the woods. It was some old water buffalo Honda. I Think I still have them some were. |

Hey Jeff- "water buffalo Honda" might be a little off- they DID have a "water buffalo" out there, but that was the nickname for the GT750 Suzuki 2smoke- incidentally the first production water-cooled MC IIRC... Glitch, thanks for the posts, and especially for lending a helping hand... Unbelievable that the schmuck owner is a real estate attorney- definitely the DOUCHE CANOE OF THE YEAR. Glitch- there was a fair amount of Buell memorabilia, was that stuff salvaged? So- as of next weekend, it's really all over? All the stuff's gone? CRAPTASTIC. |

Since I'm a firm believer in private property I don't feel the need to call names of the owner of the property. It is after all for him to do what he will with what is his. At the same time, I can't make any sense of the whole thing either, and am as hurt as anyone. The Buell memorabilia has all gone back to the people that donated it. Since SMHD&Buell is no longer, all our stuff, especially the stuff Erik signed, went to Erik. Yes it's over Such a difficult thing to swallow, I keep expecting things to change for some odd reason. Not sure what GT and Brit have planned, if anything. I am sure though, whatever they decide to do they will be successful. Time will tell. This weekend will be the last weekend T.W.O will be T.W.O. A lot of people will be there to wish Brit and GT the best. GT said he knows people are coming, but said, "I won't be able to feed anyone" I said "it's high time we feed you!" We had a good laugh. Mike Buffington (Shred) is bringing his big ol gas grill so we can cook, other than that I don't know what to expect. For those that'll be there, I'll see you there. For those that can't, I know you'll be there in spirit. |

Just spoke with Michael Buffington and we were thinking of doing Bubba burgers,Vidalia onion flavor.Maby some hot dogs and whatever sides people would like to bring. I am riding up and can't bring cold food so Michael volunteered to purchase the burgers and dogs and bring them up in the truck. I'll start the food contributions by paypaling $30 to his account. If you are interested in joining us the paypal acc # is twinrider306@aol.com I guess we need to do a head count and decide which day to hold the cookout,Saturday the 12th or Sunday the 13th? As Glitch said above this is our last chance to thank Britt and GT and say goodbye to TWO. Who's in? (Message edited by buellish on March 07, 2011) |

Good on you guys if a cookout can be put together!! No matter that this is a terribly sad thing happening, it'd be GREAT to honor GT, Britt, and their crew to a proper sendoff! Depending on whether I can beat a head cold and if the weather holds, I may try to make it Saturday. Please keep us all posted on the planning... |

I'm cleaning the grill tonight, getting a full propane bottle. Friday @ 12:00pm needs to be the cut off for paypal / food list. Keeping it simple with Bubba Burgers/ hot dogs. I'll also bring cheese, ketchup, mustard and extra mayo for Charlie, lol! Folks can bring their own food too, I'd be happy to let anyone cook their own food as well. Nicholas won't be there, hoping his Nana or Papa will watch him. I'm riding solo on Saturday and a 2up ride on Sunday with Shelley. Trying to plan it all out now. I think the question is when is the cookout? Some folks want to camp Saturday night, but I think some can't come up until Sunday. Anybody want to chime in? |

Sounds good....so the "The Last SUPPER" is Sunday. What time? High noon... I'll be grilling out both days since I'll be their both days. Fat boy's gotta eat. I'll leave all of the "Last Supper" food at the house for Sunday. Unless asked otherwise. |

Shred- good on ya for manning the grill- I may look you up with some Hebrew Nationals or something better. Thinking about getting an early start from Mur-vil Saturday, making it for lunch and some quality hanging out time, then heading back home. Who's in for either or both days? |

If you know the right people it is not too hard to get land re-zoned. And since he is a Real Estate Attorney, I imagine he knows the right people. I would bet that land won't be zoned Agricultural for too long after TWO is gone. |
