I was checking out the Pegasus Racing website and came across this bike. It is a race bike built to take passengers full speed around the race track. Pretty cool idea. These are the same people who brought us the Typhon.

One of the Local track clubs has a Gixxer1000 set up to do ride alongs on the track. Talking to the guys that "rode" along, its something you'll never forget!

There's a side hack guy who would take you out as his monkey for a lap or two or three at Summit Pt. during practice day lunch. I wish I did it but must've been broke.

Talk about "OH SHIT" handles!!!

I'd also LOVE to try being a monkey on one of those hi-po sidehacks...

The side hacks were taking out corner workers for a couple of laps there at Summit Point.

I found a set of leathers and got there as quick as possible! I was having trouble towing in a dead hack slow enough, as I was afraid that I might miss my ride!

WHAT AN ABSOLUTE RUSH!!

If you EVER get a chance to take a ride at speed on a Formula 1 side car outfit, DO IT!!

I don't know which hurt worst, the strained muscles in my arms, or the facial muscles from the ear to ear grin!

Yeah I wish I did it. I'm not a cornerworker but those guys were talking about $20. Maybe they were pulling my leg.

I didn't hear about that.

I've attended other races of their's since, and will likely go to more this year. They are a great group of people, and lots of fun. Best group of people I've met since Bueller's!

My daughter has wanted to be a monkey for years (and was quite upset that I got my ride!), so we went to see their races in Canada at their home track. Now she's trying to get me a buy a hack so she can monkey.

She has two more years until she is old enough though...

They do 2 up rides at the MotoGP races.
UNFREAKINBELIEVABLE!
(no I didn't get to do it)
You have to donate a crud ton of money.

But Randy Mimola was running laps around Laguna that probably would have put him on the podium in the AMA race on a 2-up Ducati MotoGP machine, it was crazy!!

I've wanted to be a monkey since the early 70s. Anyone need a 220 pound monkey?

Hey Buffalo, you know that you have to put that kid on a hack right ??? I don't remember the sidecar guys name but he was hanging around our pit's quite a bit when we were at Summit (those hack guys are a bit "off" just like a lot of the Buellers) and he may have been partaking in some of the apple-pie floating around wich may have made him offer something he's not supposed to. Back to the kid, Father Daughter Buell Sidecar Team ! What could be cooler than that ?

"Talk about "OH SHIT" handles!!!"

Great idea, those handles.
The tucked up passenger pegs and those handles force the passenger to stay in the correct position for a fast ride.

Very cool idea!

A good number of years back I wangled an invite to a Triumph open day on the Le Mans circuit.

I was caning the nuts off a Speed Triple round the track thinking I was doing ok.

Until the factory test rider blew by underneath me, in the hairpin, on a Sprint, with a passenger.

As for the taxi above, wicked idea, but you'll not get me on the back.

At the rollout of the Taxi, our rider Harald Kitsch was going 1:38 with passenger at Oschersleben, what is an ok clubsportlevel laptime, suggesting an 1:36 might be possible with that bike and passenger after some more development.

AST made us an rear airshock that we also can adjust now easy the rear suspension individual to the total weight. Further tests of the concept we will have now in March in Spain.

We take bookings for the german Biketoberfest 2011 (-:

Is Harald part alien or what? The man frightens me.

They have sidecar racing, but no two-up racing. I've always thought that would be an interesting event.

You're not kidding, there would be so much pucker power I'd still be stuck to the seat if there was a crash. Suction can be a very powerful force.
