I had the pleasure of dealing with the Crosman Corporation to get parts to repair my 1377 pellet pistol that I shoot targets with my 2 young sons and 10 yr old daughter. It was a pleasure that the phone was answered by a gentlemen that I could say his name: Tom. Tom was quick to know the parts I needed and had the order wrote up and the price of the purchase before I could even give him my name or phone #. AMERICAN made means so much to me especially these days. I am also looking for a spare care at this time, I will not buy anything but an AMERICAN vehicle. This is what drew me to BUELL. On my tank it say's AMERICAN MOTORCYCLE. I just want to say that I wish Erik Buell the best and the thought that he may get toghter with an AMERICAN motor company (S&S)has really got me watching ... | ||

My wife and I have discovered that several of our son's cheap-yet-indestructible plastic toys are actually made in the USA by a company called American Plastic Toys Inc. Cool. I have a "Squirrel Trainer" from Benjamin Sheridan in the .22 caliber flavor. I trained six tree rats to stop planting winter treats in the intakes of my vehicles this past year. The remaining three seem to have the right idea and stay away from human stuff. (Yes, a neighbor feeds them. They store excess food! Bastids!!!) | ||

Crossman is right down the road from me. Great company. Benjamin Sheridan, Beeman, all make great airguns. Thinking about a gamo whisper, with built in suppressor. Want it for basement range, deer discouragement. The new alloy pellets ( faster, flatter shooting within it's range ) and optics/lasers make airguns a great, cheap, practice and small varmint gun at short ranges. ..cheap-yet-indestructible plastic toys ... Saw a great 'toon in a womens magazine...years ago when those super polymer toys came out. Husband greeted at door by harried wife. Through door in background you can see Jr. hurling/bowling something and debris flying. Wife says,"You know that indestructable toy you bought Jr.? He's broken all his other toys with it." | ||

If I did, I'd do so with preference towards the non-union. Note that your list show's H-D but not Victory Motorcycles. You know what, I might be wrong... looks like Polaris is based in MN, don't know why I thought it was Candian. Nat, your point is true as well. I'm not sure if a Japanese car built in America is any better than an American car built in Japan... all I know is I prefer not to buy either. I went out on a limb (and a lapse of judgement) and bought a Japanese car built in Japan, and once the "new car" sensation wore off, I've realized I don't really like it. I'm trading it this year for something as American as you can get these days - built in the US with an engine from Canada and a transmission from China, but at least the headquarters are in Detroit. | ||

I have a Gamo air pistol that is great for practice in the basement or garage. It's fun to hang a can from a string in front of a pellet trap, and see how many shots it takes to shoot it in half. | ||

Have a Crossman pushing 60 years old - Still works well Taking Bets: How long until New York State discovers that somebody is New York is not only manufacturing something, but that they are dong it in New York AND that they are doing it at a profit AND that the something is a gun and shuts them down?? Wow cool I haven't heard that name in awhile. From 1986-89 I worked for Benjamin aiar rifle also known as Sheridan Pellet Guns. Which were originally from Racine,Wisconsin. I got a job there out of HS. The owner then Ray Katt was a patient of my Fathers and gave me a job because of there history. My first real serious job.LOL Very cool place to work and I'll never forget it. Crossman bought them out in the early 90's. They offered to relocate employee's but most didn't. | ||

ALRIGHT!, We know Erik is spelled with a "K". I am a cross man myself. Crosman is spelled with 1 "s". {rant off} They make a PCP rifle in their Benjamin line, called the marauder. Fill it from a scuba tank. It has a shrouded barrel to quiet it down.http://crosman.com/airguns/benjamin/BP2263 Or look at the Rogue in .357 . My rifle above started life as a pistol. I got the parts through crosman, and made a few. Hot rodding one is like building a motor. Working on the valves can yield impressive results. Open it up and smooth out the flow. Getting the bounce out of the valve saves fuel too. I can shoot quarters at 50 yards. The pellet becomes part of the quarter. |
