Since my opinion of the State Dept. is not good, I'm not at all surprised. Not surprised at the "professionalism". "State" is a fantasy world were talking is always better than confrontation... no matter what the threat, provocation, or crimes against humanity or another nation, they are going to negotiate. Since McCarthy was right about State, ( heavy influence from Soviet dupes and marxist traitors ) I'm not surprised they do things against the interests of freedom either.

Actually, I'd be shocked if the Americans having to deal with autocratic thugs didn't say rude things about them in correspondence with one another. How often have you read me praising Kim the God King of N. Korea?

How could anyone deal with these jerks in the 'stans, middle east, or former ( and current ) communist dictatorships and not be cynical?

I say let Julie go. I'll take him into protective custody. I'll bet England is too cold. Cuba would be better for his terminal disease.

They should publish a statement online asking for such information. They won't.

Why ask for it....get someone to steal it, just like how they get all their other stuff.

I meant "ask" as in ask a "whistleblower" to provide it, however it is obtained. It would create a mission mandate in the minds of many of their faithful followers without which said followers may oppose such action.

Echoes my suspicions.

A very interesting article...

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2010/dec/16/julian -assange-wikileaks

Quoted from above, "Among the material prosecutors are studying is an online chat log in which Private Bradley Manning is said to claim that while he was downloading government files he was directly communicating with Assange using an encrypted internet conferencing service, according to the Times. Manning is also said to have claimed that Assange gave him access to a dedicated server for uploading some of them to WikiLeaks."

Consipiracy, if true, at the very least.

Assange attempted at his bail hearing to have his residence in the UK kept secret. Oh, the irony probably escapes this megalomanic completely.

Assange, Wikileaks, Internet, TV and now there are no secrets anymore. Suddenly information becomes not knowledge, but dead meat. It's of not much use.

The quality of Tomorrow depends on Knowledge. Yesterday and the day before yesterday create Today and Tomorrow. Without Knowledge, one may not grok (that) there is a wolf at the door.

And, tossed into to poke the ungodly: Only God can turn information into knowledge.

Dear Kids:

There is no Santa Claus. Those presents are from your parents and relatives.

Love, WikiLeaks.

Good point, Crusty.

Assange is a total Pussy. Instead of Wiki leaking on America, the tough guy should have pulled his nonsense of Russia, China, or North Korea. He would be sleeping with Jimmy Hoffa by now with a gut full of plutonium laced bologna.

Read an editorial recently that said the wikileaks jerk's releases actually shows us in a good light. Most of the worlds leaders show up as 2 faced and moderately evil, while we actually are trying to do good.

A bit of a different take. ( it was on the NRO website, but I can't find it )

That's what I've been thinking since it happened, I'd not be surprised if the CIA is all behind it and the young private is actually a major patriot. Not saying I believe that, just that if history someday reveals it so, I won't be surprised.

That may be due to my optimism. I really hate to think that our military security is really that bad.

What better way to get our message out and give it massive credibility than via an intentional leak, including possibly a host of disinformation.

Crusty,

>>> Just a few folks who would not have liked Wikileaks.

Really? Have wikileaks released any documentation troubling for the world's despots and militant communists?

I don't think Castro, Kim Jong Il, the government of Iran, or Hugo Chavez have any complaints about the leaks. Have they?

I do recall Ahmedinejad disputing that the Arab nations were gunning for Iran. LOL. That must have shook him up some.
