I want to buy some elecrically-heated gloves. I looked at the H-D ones which I believe are made by Gerbing, and they are NICE. I went on the Gerbing website and they offer several different styles, including liners that just go into your existing gloves. I'm intrigued by those. Does anybody have any recommendations about which kind to buy? I looked in the KV and didn't see any current info.

Hey, that's a pretty slick outfit. Wonder how hot they get without a controller? They even offer a direct-to-battery harness for $10.

When you look at that page on the link, and you click on the link to the right for temp-trollers, you get a bunch of optional accessories, but no temp controller.
you have to go to the left products menu.

Looked like a good price at $80, so just out of interest I popped over to their European site to see how much they are here.

WTF?

€109 that's $145 at todays exchange rate. somebody's creaming it somewhere!

Dwardo, I have no experience with the Gerbing glove liners you mention, but Denise and I own some of their other gear, and the quality is top notch, in my opinion, vastly superior to the Widder gear we used to use.

I know the controllers are relatively expensive, but I opted for one of their dual-controllers anyway, as this way I can individually modulate the heat to my jacket liner and gloves. Worth every penny, IMO.

I'm with Jerry I have the older gloves and full jacket liner with the dual thermostat and it is really good gear. The Gerbings just keeps getting better with more options for you. Jerry I always forget which knob controls what, gray for gloves or black for jacket?? I had to run one on to see what piece it is then turn on the other before I ride!

Babired, I just always remember that the forward-facing knob controls my gloves, and the rearward-facing knob controls my jacket.

I've got their Microwire jacket http://www.gerbing.com/Products/Liners/heatedJacke tLiner.html , T5 gloves http://www.gerbing.com/Products/Gloves/T5.html , and the dual controller and cover shown below it listed on this page http://www.gerbing.com/Products/tempControls.html . It's a very nice set-up.

I also have an old-ish pair of their heated socks. They're uncomfortable to walk in, but if you're riding when it's truly bitterly cold, they're a blessing.

Last year I caught a serious clearance sale at the local Harley shop on their Harley branded Gerbing jacket and gloves...I now ride in weather that was off limits before...I use the gloves when it is really cold..

I've got the full setup, insoles, pants, jacket liner, and gloves. Gerbings makes top notch stuff. I have ridden in weather that was just ridiculous and this stuff is basically impermeable to weather. If you can afford it, buy it....

I have dealt with Mike a few times and he's a standup guy, if you buy Gerbings go through him. I had a UPS shipment get stolen off my porch and he handled it and I had a replacement item in 2 days.
