Just bought it yesterday, and towed it home: 1984 Pininfarina Azzurra (a Fiat Spider by another name). She needs a lot of work - was sitting out in a back lot for a few years:

This is an interesting thread! Mine: 2002 Audi A4 Turbo Quattro 5-Speed. All kinds of crap done to it. Monster sway bars, coil-overs, intake, motor mounts, stage 1+ programing, larger fuel injectors, lightweight pullies, tint, HID's, BBS wheels with fat BFG tires. Definitely a fun car, but I put less than 2k miles on it this year I think. |

1997 Chevy S-10. V6, 4wd, only option is a sliding rear window. Only vehicle I've owned with 4 wheels, and I'd take her across the states in a heartbeat. First cage was an 88 Olds Calais my great grandma gave my twin sis and I that we shared our junior year of high school and I ended up taking around the country in college. I killed the tranny in that car in 2003 in Angola, IN on my way to Iowa after dragging a gymbag of clothes, a huge toolbox and a trailer with my M2 all over the central and eastern US for about 75k miles over a few years. Pic of the S-10 from last weekend on the Parkway, Heather wasn't feeling well so the Uly went in the truck so we could at least ride the fun stuff and not make her worse in the early cold weather... I love this truck, not pretty, but hope to get another 100k out of it. I'll have to dig up a pic of the Calais with the trailer too... Loved that car.

Mine are nothing special. They are work horses and "farm implements". We drive them till the fall apart or have at least 200K on the clock. |

Replaced the motor in this, 96 T-bird a couple years after driving it back from Philadelphia (ebay purchase). My daughter still misses it, yeah, so do I. Sold it to buy the truck, which is fairly practical for my needs but not nearly as good on gas.

Those are the claim numbers from Mazda. The car actually will do low 240's. The intake doesn't do a whole lot for the car. Do a down pipe, exhaust and access port equivalent and you'll actually see pretty good numbers. I have a couple friends that have them. Ones a 09 the other 2010. Both have what I stated above and the 2010 was just dyno'd. It put down 278 at the tire's. Ummm... that's what I said, they were the stock numbers at the crank. Adding the intake ups the power and you essentially end up with those numbers at the wheels. The intake actually does a ton on this car. And your buddies did more and are making 20hp more than me, so you haven't really proven anything, lol. If you can claim dyno numbers from the part manufacturer, so can I: "From the factory, the CorkSport 2010 Mazdaspeed3 made a best run of 269ft lb of torque with 230whp. With the CorkSport Intake System installed it made 285ft lb and 264whp. Early in the power band it made up to 25 additional ft lb over stock and after the torque peak it picked up 33 ft lb of torque over stock." Regardless, the car is stupid fast, but it will be the last turbo-charged car I ever own. The turbo lag (which isn't even bad on this car) is SO annoying. I enjoyed driving my supercharged Cobalt much more. |

Pepperk496, I'm gonna need proof that the Buell will fit in the SportTrac. If that really is the case, I think I just found my next vehicle. |

My "Taco" may be small but it gets the job done for my motorsports needs. With a 120 mile commute round trip to work, the 28 MPG is a needed asset.

I'm not going to go around and try to prove anything. My friends is putting more down because of the catted aftermarket down pipe that is very restrictive on all Turbo cars and the fact that he has a programmer and a map that has fudged with the air/fuel and it also has boosted his boost to 18 lbs. So yeah big difference from your car. These are actually Subie past owners that have went to the dark side. The Mazda is a bit cheaper to purchase then a new WRX is the one guys reason. The other his REX got totaled and they gave him enough for the Mazda to purchase. I'd do the same.lol |

Mark, how the heck are you managing to get 28 mpg from your Taco? My '05 gets 20-21, and I do very little "in-town" driving! Here it is, Buell-hauling:

Chris, Its a 04,"4 banger",and a five speed. I think those three things all make up the difference, compared to you. oh forgot to add two wheel peel also! (Message edited by spdrxb on October 14, 2010) |
