Seriously though, the reporter said they "woke up at 9:30" when the city came to spray the hive. Look how they're dressed. Do they look like they're going to work?
Call me crazy, but I'll go ahead and run with my assumption on this one. SOMEBODY is paying for that house, and the gas for the car. My suspicion is, it's YOU and ME.
Probably not on welfare but likely unemployed. ". . . roommates awoke to a HUGE surprise today. City workers pulled up around 9:30 and sprayed the beehive . . ."
I hope they don't file charges against the city for waking them up at that ungodly hour. I know it's a stereotype but Chappelle had a skit where he announced a new tv show called "Good Morning Black America". It was to air daily starting at 12 noon.
Sad indeed! Guess nobody there knows the honeybee is in trouble in this country due to disease and parasites. Perhaps they should have called some real bee experts. Isn't ignorance wonderful!
Other than the opportunity to initiate racist drivel, I was wondering why you felt this was worth sharing?
Just another former shift worker that roomed with some guys when I was younger. I probably didn't fit your dress/hair code either but I paid taxes and saved for an education while racing motocross.
Other than the opportunity to initiate racist drivel, I was wondering why you felt this was worth sharing?
I felt it was worth sharing because it was funny to me.
What's even more funny to me is how you are calling me a racist. I never mentioned the race of the individuals, just that it's my belief they are on some form of public assistance. They are, to all appearances, unemployed. Someone must be paying the bills at the house and putting gas in the car. Two grown men, at home at 9:30am and for hours afterward, worried only about their ability to sit on the porch, which they promptly did, after the hive came down.
They're not retirement age, they sit on the porch all day, they're unemployed. Probably getting some free money somewhere, that was my only assertion.
You, stating that my purpose was to initiate racist drivel, is in fact a racist statement. YOU assumed I posted this because they're black.
Now, who is judging the book by it's cover, hmmm?
It's funny to watch people put things in writing before they ever stop to really think about what it is they're saying.
Couldn't they have gotten a bee removal service in there?
Ahhh... but therein lies the conundrum.
Bee removal services cost MONEY. People who live on the dole aren't going to spend the money they have on anything remotely environmentally conscious like a humane bee removal service. Nope, they just call the city and COMPLAIN.
Ron White (you can't Fix Stupid) Intelligence has limits stupidity knows no bounds. Work? those two are allergic to work! Their chosen profession is holding down that porch.
Being a bee keeper,I was saddened to see the demise of those bees. People are so dumb about bees.......well at least dumb about honey bees.Any bee keeper worth his salt would have come out and caught that colony for FREE if he was given the heads up on it.
My 60,000 bees enjoying a warm afternoon a few days ago.Fifty feet from the house and you would never know they are there.........other than a few curious ones that will crawl around, checking you out and then leave.

My skin crawled a little just looking at your little buzzing buddies.
Yeah, it sucked watching a perfectly good natural hive get killed by idiots... wait, was that a racist comment?... well, anyway...
Bees definitely have their major part to play in our food chain and overall survival. I've been gradually getting over my phobia across the years, every time I get stung it gets a little easier.
What scares me even more is the fact that I'm undoubtedly supporting the two idiots who couldn't wait to kill the bees so they could get back to their important porch-related activities.
"a lotta bees come down dis ways, so I just goes dat ways"...
Yeah, let's stick with your admission of racist provocation in your second post.
There are many good reasons to be sitting on your porch mid-day. That's why you have a porch.
Let's see for comparison: most of your posts are through the work day. So, according to your logic, you're either doing nothing but soaking welfare or stealing from your employer. However, you've already stated in other posts that the laws are not for you which is an interesting concept.
Pretty clean property, don't you think?
Pretty persuasive of these two, to have the city kill the bees and cut the tree, don't you think?
According to your other posts you don't usually give citizens or the government much credit. Why figure these two had anything to do with the decision.
Yeah, let's stick with your admission of racist provocation in your second post.
Sarcasm alert! A more intelligent reader would recognize this.

Agreed. I do that sometimes when I'm not working.

If you really pay so much attention to my posts, then you would know I am an independent agent for Landstar, specializing in heavy hauling. This means I am essentially self-employed. I make sales calls and work from my laptop and cell phone.
Pretty clean property, don't you think?
No, I don't. There is a car parked on the front yard, and a bunch of junk laying around. My HOA would fine me $150 for any single one of those violations.
Pretty persuasive of these two, to have the city kill the bees and cut the tree, don't you think?
No, since the tree is actually on city property being at the curb line, it's their responsibility. Honestly, I'd have handled it myself because I wouldn't want to wait for the city. I'd have paid to have it removed, or I would have deterred the formation of the hive at the outset, as soon as I noticed it. Since you pay such close attention to me, you know I have somewhat of a bee-phobia. I don't want bees or wasps congregate at my home.
According to your other posts you don't usually give citizens or the government much credit. Why figure these two had anything to do with the decision.
What decision are you talking about? The manner in which the bees were removed? They obviously called and complained to the city. The result was plain for all to see. These two have plenty of time on their hands.
I still call racist. Get over it.
I have yet to mention their race with regard to the story. The only reason I used the word racist is because, being more intelligent than you, I recognized that I would be getting branded as such by an idiot like you.
Since you deem yourself fit to judge me a racist, I am now calling you a blathering idiot.
