Our shop is looking for a new software developer. There's more work than our guys can handle right now and it is time to add to the team. Skills we are interested in are Windows-based development in Visual Studio and ideally WPF. Real-time systems (with UI) and embedded microcontrollers is mostly what we do, so the work will span anyway from 'plain old C' on up. We almost exclusively rapid-prototype and there's always something new to learn. The work is team oriented and we go from napkin to working doo-dad in a very short time.

A Bachelor's degree and ability to get a clearance are 'must haves'.

Position is located in Fairmont, WV and there are plenty of good riding roads around. It's a solid small company serving the needs of the military. I've been with them for a long time and there's never been a dull moment.

Know anyone?

Damn it, I do not have any of those skills. I do have a TS SCI and a Masters Degree and I would love to go back to WV, I was stationed at Sugar Grove (small Air Force Detachment on a NSGA Navy base). I rode 33 every day, twice a day from Harrisonburg VA to the Grove.. There are some great roads there.

I got to know that road like the back of my hand and had fun with the weekenders that would come out from that area. They were no challenge on the S1.

A lot of fun. Good luck with your search.

Frank

Square plug - round hole. I'm sure I could learn this in the few years it would take to get a Masters. Of course they would have to pay me for the tuition and the time to learn. Is that OK?

Any truck driving involved?

I used to be a Bachelor but then I got married, & then I did it again! Doubt I'd get the clearance either.

Dang. Sounds great, but I have a great job already and can't relocate anyway. But the job sounds like a LOT of fun.

I don't know anyone looking for work who fits the bill, but it's really cool that you asked your fellow Buellers if anyone was interested.
