Use the money you save in tickets to buy more stuff for the bike? Not that anyone here would EVER even consider doing more than 55 in a 55 zone ...

You should try it, up to 85mpg and twice the average tire life is nice, and helps you buy more farkles.

Ian, that reminds me, no I didn't make it to homecoming from NY on one tank of gas. : |

Active app for iphone and Android so you can see where they are hiding and when they are actually home, might work on some GPS units too. I find that 70 on the speedo is fine on all 65mph roads and I get passed a lot.

You can save on the house payment if you just have to buy a box. I quit in 84 after 16 years. 3 packs of Camel non filter a day. For years I would wake up in a cold sweat after lighting up in dreams. I just simply refused to ever smoke "ONE" again.

That list is funny and good.

I find 5 over is pretty much not going to draw any attention from a cop. I don't even bother slowing down at 5 over. For some reason, every single speeding ticket I've ever gotten has been for 14 over. Don't drive 14 over the limit!

BTW, that site needs help! Not a single area on my daily commute is listed, one entire county is missing too.

I found a post on the site showing the spot where I got my first ticket while I was in high school.

Too bad Al Gore hadn't invented the internet yet, or it might have saved me some embarrassment in front of my date.

In the past I've found +7 to be the magic attention getting number. And +15 to be a deal sealer for the ticket.

Personally, I think these lists are mostly BS.

Cops don't sit in one place all the time. Sure, once in a while, they'll sit in a "usual" spot.

Pfffft... just be careful.

I remember the time 4 of us met a trooper at 115 in a 55 right after passing 3 cars. He had just come over a hill and the one thing I learned from my bird-dog was that the troopers usually don't drive with their radar on.

He had to have known we were flying and we all expected him to come around and give us a talk. It must have been our lucky day since he kept on going.

That spot wasn't on the list.

Most of the cops I know say 13 is there magic number unless your car is saying "pull me over" ( big rims, dark tint, smoking badly, loud bass, suspicious driver, etc..)

Of course not all are that way, and it does depend on the day.

They don't have quotas or prizes by getting a certain amount, they just have a friendly competition between themselves for bragging rights. But most of em honestly don't give a crap about the bragging rights

With government agencies looking for any way to gouge the public for more money...expect any BS excuse to get invited to donate to the next policeman's ball.

I know quite a few LEOs...and the talks from the superiors are not "write more tickets, we need the money"...it is "get serious with the enforcement"...more revenue is a side benefit.

I got a 7 over ticket on a deserted road in an utterly empty wasteland....the cop was coming the other way with her radar on...1/2 mile away were endless numbers of asshats running 100mph on the interstate.

"Looking out for public safety" my A$$...Looking out for making as much money as possible....I have a cam now...and am watching for LEOs running stop signs...I hope to catch one trooper in particular ; )

And on the speedtrap.org site where it says Lake Alfred Florida is one big speed trap....believe it....only idiots and morons speed there.
