I bought one of those video cameras mentioned here a couple of weeks ago. Today was the first day I have had a chance to actually use it. When I took it out last night to get ready for today I discovered the little instruction book was missing. I must have lost it somewhere along the way. I didn't think it was a big deal, as the thing is pretty simple. However, when I used it today it put a December 30, 2000, time stamp on the file, which is confusing iMovie on my Mac. Could anyone with one of the cameras please check and see if there are any directions in there about how to change the date in the camera?

Thanks

World's smallest typeface in that "manual" - I looked through the whole thing, but no sign of anything about date/time stamp. Try just playing with buttons: hold down several seconds, maybe some in combination.... it'll probably self-destruct, but maybe you'll get it worked out.

looks like you may need to put the card in an sd adapter and then in a card reader to modify the txt file???

look up MD80 camera, seems to be the identical one.

Thanks guys. I found how I could change the date in iMovie for each movie file. The camera stamps all the video files with the same date/time stamp. Not the most user friendly thing, but then it was pretty cheap. I have never done anything with a video file on a computer either and iMovie has been an adventure. Much wasted time. Maybe things will get easier.
