No pics sorry - but I was just at the distributors and they told me one is on the way.

Verrry interwesting. The 750 really impressed me - 1200? It could well be Buell sick.

Projected specs on the 1200 have it around 130hp and 89tq.

Want hard.

This has been an industry 'rumour' for around 3 years now. The latest 'tease' was the release of the full owners manual with pictures on an Aprilia owners forum so it must be pretty close to fruition hopefully.

If Aprilia can sort out their chronic spares supply problems they could be a great bike ; ) In fact that sounds very familiar.....

>>If Aprilia can sort out their chronic spares supply problems<<

So it's not just a local issue then?

Unfortunately not. I get lots of Aprilia owners complaining about spares supply and long delays, and the forums are full of similar issues (although all manufacturers forums are pretty much always full of horror stories of poor supply and seldom mention good service!). I think Piaggio (Aprilia parent company) are working hard to rectify the situation but it is taking longer than expected.

It seems that spares for new models such as the RSV4 are easier to get than older ones, so that could be a good sign for future models at least : )

From what I have read it will be the 1200 Dorsoduro that will launch first as direct competiton to the KTM 990 Supermoto and Ducati Hypermotard, rather than the 1200 Shiver but that could be wrong or change of course : )

Why don't all the motor companies subcontract their parts distribution to Amazon. They'll get it done!

I saw a rendering of the 1200 Dorsoduro recently and liked what I saw.

It's a shame the U.S. gets such a crap crop of bikes sometimes.

I didn't read all the posts, but everyone's aware that that "Shiver" is ALL KINDS of Photochopped, right? I'm having trouble finding two edges that haven't been tampered with, and the blurry bars are an unforgiveable oversight....

Oh, it's a shop. But in my fantasy world, it's real!

Heh, funny thing, the piece that I noticed first was actually the Italian flag stripe. It's ever so slightly bigger on one end, and the colors seem too flat, and I thought it looked out of place. After that, it was all down hill.
