Well I'm in the market for a DVD burning program. My kid has learned how to play his Disney DVDs but isn't so gentle with them. I know how this place is....... I'm teaching him to be nicer with his movies, lighten up, he's 2. : )

Well I want to burn his movies so he can have his own collection that he can play with and watch in his play area. I need something to burn copy protected movies though. I was looking at a program from Bling called Bling Software 123 Media Max. I don't know what's good out there or if there's even a nice free program out there.

I figure before I go buy something, I'd check in here first. Any advise?

I haven't had to copy a commercial DVD in years, but DVD shrink always did the trick. If you have Nero installed it will integrate with that so it becomes a 1 click process.

Obviously I am not condoning piracy, but if I was in your shoes I would do the same.

Install Linux mint and use K3B.You click copy DVD then click start. Just that simple.

Nero Recode should also do it, part of the "Ultimate" edition.

If worse comes to worst, use a DVD video camera to record it right off the monitor. I don't know copyright laws, but would think you could back-up your movies especially if they never leave your house. Of course I could be wrong and you could have Mickey in jack boots storming your house in the middle of the night.

CloneDVD2 and AnyDVD. If you already have DVD copying software, you only need AnyDVD.

They put out regular updates too, free for life.

I use AnyDVD as well. I've been resisting buying clone DVD2... but from the amount of time I have wasted over the years, I should have just spent the money a long time ago.. : (
