Hey Tom,

I've never been to BHF, but am curious about pics 1 & 2. How far away are the cars in the background? I know it's not a high-speed track, but it seems a little light on wall protection on that turn.

There is also a hard barrier between the track and the vehicles that are in the paddock.

There's a chain link fence 20 or 30 feet from the track barrier in that area. Probably not the safest thing you could have, but I would say it's many times safer than walking down any public sidewalk. To get to the cars a bike or parts would have to go off track, through the grassy area get over the tire barrier & cement wall, through another grassy area then over/through the chain link fence. It felt safe to me, but they do have you sign the standard "severe injury or death" waiver when you enter.

I think I missed most of the people there! Met some of our BadWeb folks though. I ran into Lemonchili and Vampress. I recognized No_rice's trailer sitting in the pits. It's funny how you can remember that sort of thing from pics that are posted. Hung out with Dale (don't remember his screen name) quite a while, I met him the previous day along with too many names for me to ever remember. Of course I saw Erik and the new 1190 beast.

I took lot's more pics, but most are pretty blurry. If they wouldn't ride so fast I could get better pics! The reality is that I'm playing with a new camera that is far from ideal for getting action shots. I don't enjoy spending my day looking through a camera lens though, so only a few decent shots. Fun seeing that may Buells all in one place. It's not that often that I see another one anywhere!

I dont know what the advanced group was hitting, but I know for a fact I hit 140+ on the front straight several times. It ain't a slow track, at least not for this old guy.

End of the front straight the bikes were moving. No parking or spectating in that area though, at least not on the outside of the corner.
