Don't worry Hex, given a blink of the eye in the life of the Earth, humans won't even be noticed.

The extent of this incident is yet to be recorded.

Many factions are vying for the truth.

Who will independently test the cited crop damage? Who will fingerprint the collected oil?

Everyone, BP, Feds, States, and even the Media have large financial stakes in this truth.

I was discouraged to read that ROFFS went offline due to funding last week.
They now back online, but only with occasional information.

I tend to trust the Fishermen.

That much is true.

Many factions are vying for the truth.

Most factions are looking out for their own interests.

Who will independently test the cited crop damage? Who will fingerprint the collected oil?

USCG is in charge of testing oil samples. It's interesting that a number of examples of oil pointed to by the media have been tested and shown to not be from the BP slick. I don't know who if anyone will test the crops. Until there is conclusive testing you have nothing but speculation. That is what you are pushing here.

I tend to trust the Fishermen.

No, never heard of a fisherman lying...

Hex, you never did attempt to explain why in the two photos of FL that you posted minutes apart, why the dark ares are so different. Care to comment? How about the dark areas south of Cuba? Anything?

A bit more truth about how much oil is going into the Gulf...

http://www.aolnews.com/nation/article/bp-oil-spill -in-gulf-of-mexico-cap-capturing-more-oil-coast-gu ard-says/19506046

quote:

Allen said the containment cap that was installed late last week is now collecting about 460,000 gallons of oil a day out of the approximately 600,000 to 1.2 million gallons believed to be spewing from the well a mile underwater. In a tweet, BP said it collected 316,722 gallons from midnight to noon Monday.

So that means that a realistic estimate according to the USCG is that between 140,000 to 740,000 gallons per day are leaking into the Gulf. Quite possibly less as they optimist the performance of the cap. At any rate there seems to be a huge uncertainty about the actual amount being leaked, but is quite a bit less that what some are claiming. Perhaps they have better info than the USCG?

Sifo, if you actually looked at the date stamps on both of those photos, you would have noticed that they were taken 12 hours apart. Long enough to see by RADAR satellite the current take the spill past the keys.

The first one was taken at midnight, maybe it's moonshine on the water.

I'm not sure about the appearance of oil of the southern cost of Cuba in that other CSTAR image, but it may actually be oil from this or another event.

Sifo states: "USCG is in charge of testing oil samples." But it is NOT an independent lab. I don't believe that the USCG actually has a test lab. It's a contracted job with many interested clients.

But the federal government is requiring these samples be tested at one laboratory (TDI-Brooks International’s B&B Laboratories)—which does work for the petroleum industry, including BP, owner of the offshore oil platform that blew up and sank.

In addition to this potential conflict of interest, federal officials have mandated that BP gets to hire the companies that collect data as part of efforts to rescue wildlife covered with oil.

Hex, I based my statement about hte USCG being in charge of testing oil sample based on an interview with Thad Allen. He didn't specify if they used their own labs or contracted them out. I'm not really surprised that a lab set up for testing oil samples would do work for oil companies. It's too bad that even a committed progressive such as yourself can't trust this administration to get something as simple as lab tests on oil samples done without scandal. Seriously, you don't seem to have a real point to make here, unless that it's that BO is in bed with big oil.

Oh, wait... Barack Obama, BO. Big Oil, BO. They really are the same thing aren't they! Barack Obama IS Big Oil! Or is Big Oil Barack Obama?

About the satellite photos you keep posting, I've been away from technology for the weekend so I'm a bit behind on the news, but I understand that the oil is now starting to hit AL and the Pensacola area. Last I checked Pensacola is way up in the panhandle area near AL. As I recall that's nowhere near Key West. So you would have us believe that the oil slick was surrounding the Key West area based on the dark area of this first satellite image.

Then a short 12 hours later is has spread over 100 miles to the east AND spread over 100 miles to the west. It seems that Key West is the source of this oil spill. And you still don't have an answer to what is causing the stuff south of Cuba from an earlier photo.

Now interestingly enough, a site you keep referencing has an oil tracker application that shows this being the extent of the spill as of June 9.

Notice that it's nowhere near Key West. You are claiming to be trying to get to the truth, but you are being nothing but a tool promoting anything but the truth. Just keep posting the BS Hex and I'll just keep showing you to be nothing but a useful idiot of those that you follow.

You may have missed that MY source was the source provided by Hex himself.

EDIT: Here's the link. Looks like I only mentioned it was his source and didn't provide the actual link. http://oilspill.skytruth.org/

There actually is objective truth.

I don't know what it is. But I'd be happy to make money off you by betting against it being Hex's version.

Then again, I could be wrong.

( ask yourself if the people you agree with EVER admit to error, or change the subject & go to personal attacks instead? If they are without admitted flaw....they are wrong. Possibly evil too, but it could just be a mental disorder. What do I know? I don't agree with most shrinks. )
