Once again, the fascist Left doesn't get it. The Liberal media is barraging us with the boycotts of Arizona but NEWSFLASH, boycotts go in both directions.

Arizona is understandably striking back and canceling vacations to San Diego. All the Left is accomplishing is creating division amongst the States and hobbling the economic recovery.

Arizona hits back with cancellations

Eric Holder has spoken out against the Arizona's immigration law but admitted yesterday to not actually reading it. These guys know what they are doing and solely want to grab power.

Support Arizona and make the Federal government enforce the immigration laws that are already on the books.

It's amazing to me that when it comes right down to having the "balls" to take a stand on immigration laws, it's a Woman who has done it.
I'm thinking that way too many men in this country, if they could actually see down there without the aid of a mirror, would find that theirs are missing.
This used to be the country who spoke softly, but carried a big stick. Now all I see is a bunch of fat guys yelling threats that they have no real courage to carry out.

Johny, I'm all for enforcing the laws, no one should be here illegally. I just worry about the economy, dunno how big business feels about this. Especially agriculture and the processing plants.... Boycotting a state seems pretty dumb though. I still visit Virginia even with their insane traffic laws.

protect your borders since the feds can't do it

More like wont do it.
Gov. Brewer and before her Gov. Napolitano have been asking the fed govt for help with our border problem for years, yet the feds have refused to do anything beyond adding a few BP agents. The Tucson sector is (and has been)the BPs busiest sector.
For anybody complaining about the new law, bear in mind that it would not have been necessary if the fed govt had done its job. This was brought on by an increasing number of illegals coming through, along with escalating violence. The recent murder of a rancher in Douglas (by an illegal) has helped push things beyond yhe tipping point.

The thing that gets me about all this is... what are people complaining about?
I thought the job of LEOs was to enforce the law. Under the old law LEOs were unable to detain someone who was in the country illegally...essentially handcuffing them from doing part of their job. The new law allows them to detain an illegal till the BP can come get them.
I would be willing to bet that the majority of the people complaining about the law have no idea what it actually says.

The person that pisses me off the most is congress-critter Raul Grijalva. Calling for a boycott of his own state...you have got to be kidding me. I will never vote for that ass-hat again.

>>> the majority of the people complaining about the law have no idea what it actually says.

Proven time and time again. Knee-jerk nonsense. Hey Hammer man ; )

The AZ law is VERY restrictive for LEOs compared to the federal law that it mirrors.

The AZ law prescribes a misdemeanor offense; the federal law prescribes a felony.

AZ law only allows inquiry for those already being confronted due to prabable cause; the fed law does not; Feds can demand immigration documentation from anyone anytime they like.

An AZ vacation sounds perfect to me.

I bet most knee-jerkers haven't driven a car within 60 miles of the Mexican border. Federal Agents are ALWAYS present and they can stop anyone they want at anytime. I-5 and I-15 are regularly blocked by the INS so the agents can have a look-see. Knee-jerker BHLs don't sound off when it comes to this. The Arizona law is much weaker and the Left blows a blood blister.

Not sure if this fact is true but Phoenix is second behind Mexico City in kidnappings. Arizona is in a crisis because the Federal government is looking the other way. Until recently, the INS would release captured illegals on their own recognizance for reporting to a judge at a future date. Guess what percentage of illegals actually showed up for their court date? This country is crazy and Americans better start waking up or we lose it. Just listen to La Raza's concept of "reconquista" which has been taught in the Tucson school system. Until today.

I won't say the gents we talked to today speak for all their peers - but I hope they do

Went to the Joint Services Open House ( aka "Air Show") at Andrews Joint Base in Maryland today. As we waited in line to go through an overhauled Navy P3 the Customs and Border Patrol uses for ISR as well as other missions I talked to one of the agents about the black band he wore over his badge. He told me it was in honor of a downed colleague from California who was recently "executed" (the agent's words) by suspected illegals. While I was talking to him, my sister who is visiting from her home in Tucson was conversing with another agent about his helicopter and how appreciative she was of the job they did in her backyard. She ended the conversation with "Thanks - and keep up the good work" He replied "You're welcome - and keep passing those good laws"

The SoCal Buell Riders group rode through Campo a week after the execution. It was really sad but there were a lot of very pissed off INS agents swarming everywhere. They have a thankless job and I highly respect them.

Illegal immigration laws simply must be enforced. The Dems want the illegal vote and the fatcats want the cheap illegal labor. Houston, we have a problem.

There are days I dream of having a President or Congress with values, vision and the guts to act on them.

quote:

SHERIFF JOE is at it AGAIN!

You all remember Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona , who painted the jail cells pink and made the inmates wear pink prison garb. Well . . .

SHERIFF JOE IS AT IT AGAIN!

Oh, there's MUCH more to know about Sheriff Joe!

Maricopa County was spending approximately $18 million a year on stray animals, like cats and dogs. Sheriff Joe offered to take the department over, and the County Supervisors approved.

The animal shelters are now all staffed and operated by prisoners. They feed and care for the strays. Every animal in his care is taken out and walked twice daily. He now has prisoners who are experts in animal nutrition and behaviour. They give great classes for anyone who would like to adopt an animal. He has literally taken stray dogs off the street, given them to the care of prisoners, and had them place in dog shows.

The best part? His budget for the entire department is now under $3 million. Teresa and I adopted a Weimaraner from a Maricopa County shelter two years ago. He was neutered, and current on all shots, in great health, and even had a microchip inserted the day we got him. Cost us $78..

The prisoners get the benefit of about $0.28 an hour for working, but most would work for free, just to be out of their cells for the day. Most of his budget is for utilities, building maintenance, etc. He pays the prisoners out of the fees collected for adopted animals.

I have long wondered when the rest of the country would take a look at the way he runs his jail system, and copy some of his ideas. He has a huge farm, donated to the county years ago, where inmates can work, and they grow most of their own fresh vegetables and food, doing all the work and harvesting by hand.

He has a pretty good-sized hog farm, which provides meat, and fertilizer. It fertilizes the Christmas tree nursery, where prisoners work, and you can buy a living Christmas tree for $6-$8 for the Holidays, and plant it later. We have six trees in our yard from the Prison.

Yup, he was re-elected last year with 83% of the vote. Now he's in trouble with the ACLU again. He painted all his buses and vehicles with a mural, that has a special hotline phone number painted on it, where you can call and report suspected illegal aliens. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement wasn't doing enough in his eyes, so he had 40 deputies trained specifically for enforcing immigration laws, started up his hotline, and bought four new buses just for hauling folks back to the border. He's kind of a 'Git-R Dun' kind of Sheriff.

TO THOSE OF YOU NOT FAMILIAR WITH JOE ARPAIO: HE IS THE MARICOPA COUNTY , ARIZONA SHERIFF AND HE KEEPS GETTING ELECTED OVER AND OVER. THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS WHY:

Sheriff Joe Arpaio (in Arizona ), who created the 'Tent City Jail,' has jail meals down to 40 cents a serving and charges the inmates for them.

He stopped smoking and porno magazines in the jails, took away their weights, and cut off all but 'G' movies.

He started chain gangs so the inmates could do free work on county and city projects.

Then He Started Chain Gangs For Women So He Wouldn't Get Sued For Discrimination.

He took away cable TV Until he found out there was A Federal Court Order that Required Cable TV For Jails. So He Hooked Up The Cable TV Again Only Let In The Disney Channel And The Weather Channel.

When asked why the weather channel, He Replied 'So They Will Know How Hot It's Gonna Be While They Are Working
On My Chain Gangs.'

He Cut Off Coffee Since It Has Zero Nutritional Value.

When the inmates complained, he told them, 'This Isn't The Ritz-Carlton . . . If You Don't Like It, Don't Come Back.'

More On The Arizona Sheriff:

With Temperatures Being Even Hotter Than Usual In Phoenix (116 Degrees Just Set A New Record), the Associated Press Reports: About 2,000 Inmates Living In A Barbed-Wire-Surrounded Tent Encampment At The Maricopa County Jail Have Been Given Permission To Strip Down To Their Government-Issued Pink Boxer Shorts.

On Wednesday, hundreds of men wearing boxers were either curled up on their bunk beds or chatted in the tents, which reached 138 Degrees Inside The Week Before.

Many Were Also Swathed In Wet, Pink Towels As Sweat Collected On Their Chests And Dripped Down To Their PINK SOCKS.

'It Feels Like We Are In A Furnace,' Said James Zanzot, An Inmate Who Has Lived In The TENTS for 1 year. 'It's Inhumane.'

Joe Arpaio, the tough-guy sheriff who created the tent city and long ago started making his prisoners wear pink, and eat bologna sandwiches, is not one bit sympathetic. He said Wednesday that he told all of the inmates: 'It's 120 Degrees In Iraq And Our Soldiers Are Living In Tents Too, And They Have To Wear Full Battle Gear, But They Didn't Commit Any Crimes,So Shut Your Mouths!'

Way To Go, Sheriff!

Maybe if all prisons were like this one there would be a lot less crime and/or repeat offenders. Criminals should be punished for their crimes--not live in luxury until it's time for their parole, only to go out and commit another crime so they can get back in to live on taxpayers money and enjoy things some citizens cannot afford to have for themselves.

Having spent an entire year in a REAL prison, sheriff Joe's place sounds like a vacation to me. I never got to go outside, or interact with animals or even work to earn money for commissary items.

I say kudos to sheriff joe for making the lives of inmates bearable. Any inmate bitching about being there needs HTFU and quit their bitching.
