Since I saw a black 1125R on I-40 west of Knoxville today, I thought I'd ask if there are any more riders in the area. I have recently moved to Watts Bar Lake and I can't wait to do some riding.

Also, I just bought a used deluxe tank bag but, I did not get the straps. Does anybody know where I can get some?

Call LJ, Steve, Matt or Benjy in our shop parts department and see if they can get some.

(615) 849-8025

They are unique to the bag, so the likelihood of finding any straps that will work is very low.

I'm a rider that was in Knoxville (UT) last summer but didn't have my bike. Does that count?

Are you working on that little project they have going on up there?
I used to spend every minute I could up in those mountains behind Spring City. I ate enough crappie out of that lake, I'll probably grow a few more eyes one day.
Some pretty country up that way!

Steve, you are just a little bit North and West of a community called Eaton's Crossroads. Not that it is any big deal, but every time I see your name I remember it. It is where Hwy 70 crosses what used to be Hwy 95, but I think it has a different number to it now.

Yes there are several local BadWeB riders around the area. Welcome.....but wipe your feet before coming into town!

There are the Volunteer Riders in the Riding groups thread, but they are a little too far West for me to have time to add them into my riding schedule thus far.

I will shoot you a PM next time we have a chance to get out for a ride. Are you going to AprilBuellsday this Friday? Lots of us are.

Is it possible we have met at MarchBadness 3-4 or 5?

Hey Steve! Funny to find you posting this...I am now living in Norris, TN, about 20 min north of Knoxville.

Also, I've got a flat on the Uly, can you come pick me up? JK

I'm gonna be headed down to ABD on Saturday morning, maybe I'll see you there. Otherwise we can try to get together sometime to ride here in east TN. Hope the move is a good one for you!

Welcome to one of the greatest M/C riding areas in the world, buddy! Knoxvegas is kewler than it has ever been- as long as you head downtown. (Aint got much use for Turkey Creek or anything that resembles it, yuck.) Be sure to head over to the Time Warp Tearoom on a dry Tuesday to see some kewl bikes and peeps.

Euchee TN is on Watt's Bar lake- how close are you? Heck- you can point your front wheel about anywhere and ride til you get your permagrin...

+1, what Vern said. I just talked with my mechanic, with any luck I should have a freshly rebuilt Shovelhead ready to ride down to Blairsville GA for the day- will probably ride back home the same day with a couple of peeps. (Hate to say it, but going into the weekend they're calling for increasing chances of rain. Oh well, it's good for the garden, not for riding...)

Be sure to look at the schedule for the Shed next door to Smoky Mountain HD, TONS of great music scheduled this year- got to see Scott Miller and the Commonwealth this past Saturday. Rumor has it that next Saturday's band is kewl- "Mustang Sally", PLUS they're an all-girl band! (Giggitty.) The sound guy there is a good buddy of mine, and a 100% Bueller. Hoping to have him ride down with the group Friday.

Keep in touch, and keep the rubber side down... ; )

Also- speaking of music and good peeps, see if you can tune in "East Tennessee's Own" WDVX, 89.9 FM. If the radio signal doesn't reach you, you can get their webcast on your 'puter.

Super good music from a super good bunch of people- they even have daily live broadcasts (the "Blue Plate Special" at noon) from their studio in downtown Knoxville that you can attend whenever for free! (They are listener-supported public radio- I've been a supporter for years now.)

Nothing else on the radio is worth listening to, except 91.9 FM for their news.

Welcome to East Tennessee. I'm in the West Knoxville area.
86129squids has it right; just pick a direction and ride! I can't believe how many great roads there are to ride in this area.
Brad, I finally got that Ulysses I've been dreaming of so long! Don't know if you remember; you took my wife and I out on our first test ride together on the Uly one rainy afternoon. What a great anniversary treat! Hope to see ya around.

Sounds like there are plenty of folks to ride with up here. Ft_bstrd, I will call this week. If I can't find the original parts I may try an outdoors store for some backpack repair kits.

Hey Ed, good to hear from you. Yes, I am doing my impersonation of Homer Simpson, as soon as we find the key we'll start it up and be pumping out all kinds of electricity.

Vern and Adam, I plan on being at April Buells Day. Adam, my number is still the same, anytime you need anything. ( I prefer the anything to be a riding event however.)

Brad, thanks for the info. I have been looking for a place with good music and atmosphere.

Firebolt32, If you want to ride your bike back up here, I'd enjoy a ride with you. Otherwise, I've heard Florida is not that fun on a sport bike.

Eaton Crossroads, hmm.. I may have to check that out. I could be in line to be mayor or something.

Thanks everyone, I look forward to riding with as many folks as possible, as often as possible.

Steve, Dave, Adam,

Our local loosely formed group are heading to April Buells Day Friday morning. We are meeting for breakfast in Maryville at 9:00 at the Shoney's at 321 Lamar Alexander Pkwy, and 129, across from Foothills Mall. We will be getting gas after breakfast and twisting it to Blairsville. You are welcome to join us!

Hey Vern, sorry I missed ya'll last weekend but, that was just too wet for me. If anyone is interested in joining me, I will be heading to Cherohala on the 8th. A couple of folks from back home are riding up for a day of fun.

Rt_ , the bike I saw was east bound on I-40 with about 4 other bikes, mostly cruisers. Haven't been to Devils Triangle on the bike yet but, I checked it out in the "Land Barge" shortly after I moved here. Very twisty.

Steve, I have a special mission on the 9th that will entail 400+ miles of riding, so the 8th will be the day the wife has insisted that I make haste on preparing the pool for the season.

Mebby next time!

It sure don't feel like swimming weather yet but, it's good to be prepared for when it does warm up.

Is it possible we have met at MarchBadness 3-4 or 5?
I don't think we have met, I have only been a couple of times.
