I will probably buy another just to save, like I did when they had the 1125r edition. |

I think that XB13 that Erik was adamant about and was denied would have been awesome. I love my XB12 but I think I would have absolutely drooled over the XB13 that he had originally intended. Heck, we've had a number of conversation on here about a more powerful air-cooled XB motor based on the XBRR. The thing that really pissed me off about the article was the cost overruns that HD forced on Buell forcing them to sell the bike at higher prices than Buell had intended. Buell shouldn't have been forced to pay for HD's incompetence. |

Just got the phone call from home.... mine arrived!! Also found out that the stock holders meeting is the 24th and i have to work, so already filed the proxy card on-line and generally voted against everything HD. Trekked through the HD dealership with my BUELL Racing T on and did get some very positive comments. |

Wow. Just read the paper edition, took it from the hands of my mailman and realized yardwork would have to wait. Anderson's story was very interesting in what he wouldn't or couldn't say, and the fact that he spent a fair amount of time saying so. When I think about HD being, once upon a time, such a financial force and at the same time being let by such short-sighted leaders, it makes me want to puke. The advent of the US model XR1200 last year, and the F-'ed up way it came to our market, whilst simultaneously HD "leaders" were plotting to shut down Buell makes me want to defenestrate a few HD execs. I'd throw Wandell last, having made him watch all the other "brains" go splat. Buell could have been a tool to increase market share and build brand loyalty from toddlers on up- read the HondaYamaZuKaw playbooks- and then dovetail young grown-ups into the HD brand, if they choose to go with cruisers instead of sport/dirt/whatever. "The costs of closing Buell equalled the entire investment in Buell over it's 25 year history..." KEITH WANDELL IS A GENUINE IDIOT AND CAPTAIN OF THE H-D'OUCHE CANOE FLOTILLA. God I'd have loved to ride a Diablo- "POC turbocharged motors proved more reliable than non-turbo motors"- with a variable-vaned Aerocharger!!! AAARRRGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!! |

Perhaps there'll be a kit, for the XB framed bikes that still have the hole for the tubes. |

I SHOULD have held on to that HOG stock just so I could vote against the board... but financially I made a much wiser decision by dumping it and putting the money into Verizon instead. Their stock is still rising while Harley's is moribund and they pay a considerably nicer dividend to boot. |

Something that occurred to me today regarding HD's mis-management: HD screwed Buell twice. They didn't allow them to produce things like the turbo XB, the 600cc Blast, or the B2, but worse they allowed Buell to expend the R&D dollars to design and develop these designs which HD wouldn't allow to be built. I'm sure Erik learned a lot of things about business politics that he will NOT repeat in whatever his next motorcycle venture turns out to be. |

Bridgehampton Race Track was a nice, local facility for track days (the Baldwin Brothers used to run a school there). No more... it's another ****ing Golf Course.

Finally got my issue. Immediately sat down and read it. I have an even greater respect for Erik now. Steve's piece was extremely well written. That was very cool of John to give a nod to Steve as well. |

Finally read it today too. Bitter sweet to finally see publication of what many of us Buell owners have known or suspected for years. |

Wow, the bikes Erik had planned made me tear up reading that article. Was the real point of the mag to stir up a possible future for Buell when the "no compete" clause expires? I hope so! |

I just read the article too. That Wandell character is a moron. I would love to see nothing more than Erik rise from the ashes and stick it those HD asses. |

Anyone have a pic of that South Park suck/bf*ck cycle? Seems like that's the direction HD's Product Planning Committee is going... "The CVO FLOLUPYERBUTT Wandell Special "Hard" Tail!!"

Harley investors are not going to be happy after they read the Cycle World article. My decision was to sell all of my HOG holdings as there are plenty of good companies to invest in. I'll keep an open mind but it is unlikely that I will ever invest in HOG again. I certainly won't purchase their products as Harley motorcycles have never appealed to me. If "The Company" survives, we will look back at Wandell's tenure with the same affection as the AMF dayz. It just seems that turning their back on the youth demographic is a foolish and dangerous position to take for a motorcycle company. The Cycle World article was an eye opener but we will probably never know the real drama that occurred offstage. |

Don't everybody go ripping on the game of golf as it is a dangerous sport the way I enjoy it. "A beer a hole" is our motto and our goal. Things can get ugly around the 14th hole when errant balls and fists tend to go flying. One simply can't achieve this level of action on a motorcycle. As God is my witness, I would love Wandell to join my foursome as that would be a fugly outing. |

I read that article when I got the mag yesterday in the parking lot of my store before I went to work. Makes me not want to ever buy a Harley product again. Also makes me think that Harley is in big big big trouble and might not be around in 5 years. I hope Erik can hook up with BRP and make some real great sport bikes. |

Boy, I used to be "Harley so what" but after this article " FHD ". I got some shirts you can have for shipping! After I'm done they will all fit in a peanut butter jar though so shipping won't be much. I too "pick up" that something really big is coming from Erik and BRP.
