Nevrenuf and I took the plunge yesterday and bought a 2010 Mini Cooper Clubman. He's hooked she handles like a buell. We picked up a basic, the only packages we opted for were the moon roof and automatic transmission. She came with 16" black rims, her color is Chili Pepper Red.

that is a pretty sharp car, I think the stick would have been more fun to drive though.

The original coopers had the traveller and the clubman, and a pick up model....
I bet centrallized massed bike with a short wheel base would fit perfectly in the bed if they bring back that model...

You better hope it has a spare tire and jack, or you will be buying run flat tires for it. Or put regular tires on it and have a tow truck handy for a flat. I know the mini s model has no jack no spare and no tools of any sort, BMW says you don't need any tools and junk.

Other than that they are sweet little cars. If it's a non supercharged model it can have a turbo added that makes way more power than the S model ever could.

Came with run flats and from what the sales guy told us the reg mini's have a spare, although we did not get into the boot area to check it out. Apparently the s's don't because of where the exhaust is located. The last pic is of the barn doors.

It is weird that bmw would say the minis don't need tools yet the bmw its self comes with a first aid kit which I have never seen from any other car.

i love mini's! my teacher has an s version (non club man, just normal size), and so far I'm the only student to drive it! lol. I was her "teachers assistant last semester, and she would always send me on errands and she'd let me take her car so i wouldn't waste my gas on her. (not to mention there are like a total of 20 kids in my school that can drive stick, which hers was) it was a super fun car! i definitely want one!!!! i doubt she'd ever let me drive it again if she was in the car while i was driving it

yours is sweet looking i really like the color! and those black rims really look sharp!!!

Cherry Mini. You did the thing that most people don't do. Get the Auto transmission. Standard Transmissions love that little 8" fly wheel around 40 to 60 thousand miles.
With a minimum of $2400 you can have it back on the road.

You did great.

hey gary, she's buying the car, not me. the mini, not necessarily the clubman is her dream car. we got the clubman because of the extra space for the granddaughter. it's all about adalin.

as far as the stick goes, getting to old for sticks on vehicles although it's hardly a mini without one. we'll get over that though.

i really hope this is car last her as long as my truck has lasted me cause it is one fun ride and i'm already getting yelled at for doing stuff i shouldn't be doing like sticking it in sport mode. can't wait to try it out in the mountains.

Not a HUGE fan of the Clubman body style (love Coopers in general), but that rear door is the shiznit.

Just don't break anything... friend of mine had one and snapped the little antenna off the back. Dealership wanted $400 to fix. He got one from a junk yard for $15 and took 10 minutes to swap out.

That thing's huge! JK

I saw my first original, right side drive mini a couple of years ago. It was parked directly behind a full sized Dodge p/u and would literally fit in the bed. The wheels "might" have been 12". Anyhow, good looking ride, I like the black wheels on it.

Very cool color combo! I really like the clubman.. I would love to drive one of those.

Those aren't PAX run-flat tires are they???

If they are, I would suggest going back to the dealer immedately hand have them swap them out with either standard wheels/tires, or at least a non-PAX system.

I'm pretty sure PAX is completey gone though.

PAX is one of the biggest fumbles I have seen from the tire industry.

We had that crap on our Nissan Quest.
50K rated tires didn't last 22K. I was quoted $3500 from the dealer for replacement... yes... that was $3500, not $350. And the closest tire dealer that could do it was a 2-3 hour drive away, and the price wasn't much better.
I ended up purchasing 4 standard wheels/tires from tire rack for about $1500.
I still have the PAX wheels/tires sitting in the yard... can't even sell them, no takers.

they are the run flats and they come on just about everyone of the cars. not to many of them with out the run flats. i take it you can't put regular tires on those rims.

as for mileage, automatic, is supposed to get 27-33 mpg.

peggy is an only child but has a lot of cousins.

although i'm sure the s would be extremely fun, i'm sure the insurance would go up instead of going down like it did. actually supposed to save like 23 bucks every 6 months going from the 08 subaru outback sport to this which is a 2010.

As a direct competitor to the Mini, Citroen have just brought out the DS3. Don't know if you'll get it there but it's a little jewel of a car.

I can't post any links from here so you'll have to research yourselves.

I just googled the ds3 to see what it was and that is a cool looking little car but I do not think that citroen sells cars in the states (at least I have never seen one.)

We haven't had a Citroen dealer in the states since 66.
The closest car in the looks department would be a Ford Focus.
DS3 would be a awesome car here. Is the DS3 taking the place of the C2?
I'm interested in how it is going to do in the WRC.

nice but a mini it is not when it comes to the looks. probably never find out how it handles compared to the mini. i really like this car and am quite happy. oddly enough blasteey's late father is a boot who came over on the boat when he was younger so it's pretty fitting for her to have the mini and also likes it
