I finally managed to swing a day off work and go for a ride today and thought I'd share a few pics : ).
This was the first time I'd gotten a chance to take my 1125R 'Ronin' for a good run up in the hills since I bought it, as well as try out my new leathers (the weather has finally started to cool down a bit here) and I got to mess around with my camera a bit too.

Ronin impressed me greatly, the weather stayed dry and I didn't get caught behind traffic too often when I got to the twisty bits. I did just over 300km and really got back into the groove in the second half. The chicken strips are a little thinner now : D

The Pacific is out there somewhere in the haze:

The twisties just south of Kenilworth:

Somewhere between Kenilworth and Maleny, this is pretty typical South-East Queensland. Everything is nice and green at the moment for a change : )

I messed around with doing a self portrait:

Once I got home I cleaned both Buell's (and did some work on the F100 too).

All in all a really nice day off. Hope everyone else manages a nice day off riding soon, wherever you are : )
cheers,
chili

Well.... all I can say is I'm glad you are going to LA and then NY and driving to C-Bus so you may have the driving on the opposite side of the road down before you get on a bike and ride to East Troy.

Great pics!

looks like a nice day graham. i ride about 50 miles round trip every day on the bikes but very boring here in florida where you have 11 curves in 318 miles. i can't wait to move some day.

I've been here almost 9 years and I'm still discovering great twisties : ). Local law enforcement are really taking the fun out the game though, I need to get to a track day sometime soon.

Riding/driving on the right-hand side doesn't worry me too much. If it's anything like last time I went to the U.S., the problem will be switching back to the left when we return home

Uly's (and Triumph Tigers) make more sense to me than they used too : )

Great pics, looks like some very nice rides over there. You gotta stop parking on the wrong side of the road though! : D

Good to hear!
I have no worries. When I drive in England, the problem is parking lots and garages (car parks). That's where I have no reference and make mistakes.

Great ride and great pics!
