I guess that annoying woman in the Progressive Insurance ads is making some serious cash. I have never filed a claim yet my premiums rose 30% for renewal here in California. Anybody else seeing these hikes? I am going shopping.

Mine went down about $500 a year for this year, yet I filed another (large) claim.

I had that happen a while back with auto insurance from Progressive. I called them and they told me that they re rated the state. So I switched ASAP.

I have Geico... they jacked my rates up when I moved 30 miles North. So I waited a month and changed my address back to the old house, and switched to paperless billing.

pwnzor 4TW!

Do you shop online or brick and mortar? I saved almost $200 by going with a local ins. company that also carried Progressive. I was paying almost $250 and it dropped to around $85 with identical coverage.

RDog, mine went up similar to yours or more with Progressive in California for the Buell, so I dropped them and non-opped for now. Things have been real tight, and I have a great dog that likes to go to jobs with me in my jeep. I might check out Geico soon as the itch to ride has been b u i l d i n g...

Progressive raised my rates a few years ago. I searched around and couldn't find anything better although Geico came close. Last year I went to an independent agent who was able to sign me up with Progressive as a new policy holder and saved me about 20%. Seems strange that an agent could get me the same coverage with the same company for less.

Nothing odd about it at all. That agent is willing to make a lower commission.

I have Dairyland, and mine went up from $900 to $1325 for both bikes. My rate hike is from WI's new "Budget Bill", which raises the minimum limits of insurance coverage. Thinking about dropping coverage for the S1.

Woah, you guys have it rough. I have full coverage including comprehensive and collision through Progressive for about $450/yr in NJ. And I'm 24!

It has actually been dropping year over year for me as traffic violations dropped off my driving abstract.

I pay about $225 annually per 1200 cc bike, full coverage, through Dairyland. I just called them. I pay $65 for basic coverage on the Blast. This is for Maryland.

My homeowners insurance went up $100 for the year, havent seen the bill for the bike yet. I have been with dairyland for ever, 12r went down $60 last year but home went up $100 last year. This is getting crazy, time to start looking around i guess.
