HD should announce it's future plans with Buell 1 to maintain customer relation's 2 to stop the bashing if HD plans to sell Buell's once again under EB. So as you see in this EB has his market and HD has there's the question does HD want a part of EB sell's? I don't care one way or the other because EB sell's my style of motorbike! Thanks Erik Buell you saved more than 1 American from having to buy RICE! | ||

While there are Buell's out running it's far from dead! While HD is in turmoil it's far from dead. While EBR is still building race bikes it's far from dead. That's why we need to work on customer relation's with HD and their future plan's with Buell. The more it's pounded eye's open with a glitter of light. | ||

michael..Where have you been hiding? In the freaking desert in mongolia with no english speaking radio, newspaper or internet? The H/D and Buell relationship as far as building bikes on a large scale is DONE. THE FACTORY IS GONE, 200 people out of jobs. All the machinery, tooling and such in the factory was sold off. Doors shut.Buell american motorcycles as it was 6 months ago is dead. buell may be back and most likely will. But most likely NOT with h/d.Your beating a dead horse that is already been run thru the grinder and fed to dogs as food. what makes anybody think that erik would even want to have any sort of dealings with the moco after the way the dealings went down? it would be a huge slap in the face to me, a great big sweaty, hairy, cheesy, genital slap in the face. erik doesn't need hd anyway, it was hd that needed erik, they just didn't know what to do with his bikes because they are closed minded douche nozzles. | ||

this thread might get more interesting as it gets closer to the time when Harley has to make a payment on their loan note. They might be looking for some cash to pay on their high interest loan and maybe, Just maybe! finally think about selling Buell. One can only hope and I'm still thinking that in due time Harley's upper management will finally remove their head from their ass and do the right thing! | ||

 I owe these Douche Nozzles 8K (HD)! Sometimes there is more to the story than we hear and I would love to keep pushing forward with this because if HD is willing to do this to a customer what about their future customers this should be a big show stopper on a new purchase of a HD? If they wont sell Buell to help save there A&& what makes new HD owners so sure this company will be there in 2 yrs and warranty would be void! Come on there are so many ways that we can start using this against them. | ||

The 4th quarter report, particularly on the heels of the 3Q 10-K, was interesting. I'm less concerned about a company that looses a lot of money than I am about a company that doesn't know how much they are going to loose, it indicates a fundamental lack of understanding of the firms core business unit. Harley-Davidson missed their predicted sales and financial numbers by alarming amounts. One of the common themes, among the few who speak from inside and the few who have been released and speak under the caveat of not wanting to violate their NDA, is that "there simply is no plan". Could be interesting. I think Harley-Davidson did Erik Buell a huge favor . . akin to being tossed from the Titanic with a life vest prior to the encounter with the iceberg. In addition, there are a couple pretty sleazy, not to be mistaken with Olin and Wandell who are just inexperienced and go whichever way the most recent advisor directed them, players. You may (I kinda hope) or may not read an explosive account in a magazine in the coming months and (I kinda hope) there may even be one or two folks who get in significant legal problem for a little stunt they pulled (unrelated to Buell). One way or another . . . we certainly live in interesting times. I'm excited about the future of Buell . . . but then . . that's no surprise. And to the topic . . . HD has no plans for Buell and will announce nothing. Traditionally (witness that there was never once a phone number or e-mail address on the Buell website) they are scared to death of any customer interaction they can't control. | ||

I can only wonder about the restraining orders in your histories ... as when a woman in your life moved on, and you couldn't. So, of course, you wished death and destruction upon her and her family. I could not agree more. Erik is at a point in his career and life where he has to do nothing. He could walk away, ride his tractor all day and work on the farm. Everything that happens from here on in is for fun. I have no ill will to any of the folks at Harley-Davidson. Lord knows those poor folks have their hands full at present, That does nothing to obviate the fact that there was some very dirty pool played but it's already coming back to haunt a few folks and, in all candor, none of it impacts my life in any way. It is a motorcycle. | ||

I think if you know the remarkable machines, the amazing story, and the awesome people at Buell, and weren't significantly bothered by fact and manner of HD closing Buell, then you are either an idiot, or a heartless selfish jerk. IMHO. | ||

Funny how threads derail and take on another coarse. Of coarse its just a motorcycle but what happend to being passionate about a product you believe in and enjoy? Isn't that the point of the whole thing? I cant see starting a new company is entirely all just "fun", unless there is a bigger "fun" at the end of the tunnell? "fun" would just be called a hobby this (EBR) seems to be more than a hobby. |
