Anybody have one. How is it in warm weather. Is the armor removable. Is there back protection? Was it worth it or would the money be better spent elsewhere. Thanks |

I have owned one for 3 years. It has held up to about 40k miles and 1 get off at 35 mph. I believe it is a Joe Rocket rebrand for Buell. I've ridden in it up to 105 degrees going across Wyoming and Montana with all the vents open and it was damn hot... It's BLACK! Armor is removable for washing and it does have back armor. It has the zipper in the tail to connect to the Adventure pants. It is not that warm in the winter, even with the liner. It definitely leaks water riding in the rain for more than 20 mins. I rode in rain for 3 days and couldn't tell if I was dry or damp for the rest of the trip. I got to were I was wearing a buell hoody underneath the jacket to keep me warm on those 30 degree days. All in all I would buy another one. It has held up well and is still serviceable. (Message edited by slowride on March 16, 2010) |

I've found the Buell Adventure jacket to be my most-used jacket for late spring/summer/early fall. A little warm in mid-summer and maybe a bit cool below 60 degrees, but with the removable vents and liner it is pretty flexible. It is NOT waterproof. The armor is all removable for when I toss it into the washing machine to gets the bugs off. Re; Back protection: The HD armored back insert fits PERFECTLY in the Adventure jacket, but I've never seen it marketed that way. I discovered that it fits with my local dealer who ordered the armor for me to try after we noticed the big, empty pocket on the inside back of the jacket. Using it warms things up, but as they say, I'd rather sweat than bleed or break. |

i've got both adventure and bolt jackets and i tend to use the bolt more because it is waterproof and warmer for the most part(i almost either wear a hoodie or have one on hand just in case)but no back protector in it. i'm sure it will be a decent summer jacket but so will the bolt because of the rain. nice jacket regardless and also have the pants to go along with it. also i think buell had come out with some of the nicest gear that anyone could have offered and always found it functional. |

I use it exclusively year-round here in FL. I rode to work this morning and it was in the 40's. I have to wear a sweatshirt underneath even with the liner, but it's tolerable. While it's hot in the summer, the vents make it comfortable while you're moving. I've been meaning to get the armor insert for the back, but haven't yet. I've had it for quite some time as I bought it at the old Seminole Buell Shop in Fern Park. It shows very little sign of wear. All-in-all I would say it's a great jacket. |

I got mine about three weeks before '07 Homecoming. Tested it on their go-kart track. It held up well. I have warn it almost exclusively since. I have a couple of others, but this is the one I always gravitate towards using. It is comfortable and has real pockets in and out that make sense. I recommend it. |

The trick is finding one. Our website says we have some, but I don't know if there is inventory or not. PM Tom (Tnxbrider) or call David Walker, 615-849-8025. |
