Ok, I'll play. Personal epic win.
This is me establishing a National Record in Wakefield F1B, international class, outdoor, rubber band powered, free-flight model aircraft. I have made many of these beauties, and I made many great flights, and a couple over 11 minutes observed. crca '95?
The trophy was made from an impeller blade from a turbine engine. It's a perpetual trophy, you could win it as well as I did...
"Blessinz of teh Ceiling Cat be apwn yu, srsly. This is the lolcat Bible Translation Project, a project dedicated to translating the entire Bible into lolspeak. The Project started in July of 2007 and so far we have most of the Bible translated!"
The reason I asked was I saw some Youtube videos about Detroit and there were alot of inside footage of the abandoned car factorys and the outside of the train station. I knew a guy that had a very unfortunate accident while trying round up financing to get the train station "re-established" He "fell" down 4 flights of stairs breaking both knee caps while showing the station. Corruption runs deep in the city, has been for a very long time, will be for alot longer.
Why would anyone want to live here any more. Every other state has something cool going on, even a cold weather state like Minnesota has Minneapolis, a city that invested in elevated covered walkways to revitalize the downtown areas, linking parking and businesses, restaurants and hotels, what do we have? The People Mover! I have lived in Michigan for over 50 years and have never once been on it. I have been in Minneapolis twice, and have used the downtown walkways each time. We are lost with no direction, bankrupt with no hope. Why would anyone want to stay in Michigan, it is a nice place to visit, but not live.
This was a comment I posted about the new regulations concerning the Michigan Promise Grant.
If you have seen the movie 'Four Brothers' there was I line said as the actors walked thru the dead parts of Detroit. 'They took the jobs to the third world and brought the third world here" I thought that made a very good point as for where we were going and now gone in the economy. Sorry if I went if I went on a tangent.
