It'd hit most any woman who was clean and had all her teeth. It's like riding a scooter...it's fun, just not cool. Women, just like motorcycles, are all about performance, not looks. Who cares if she looks good, if she won't get freak nasty with you and turn you every which way but loose then force you to do it again in front of her friends who are taking video and pictures as they cheer you on, she's worthless. I've loved my fair share in the past, but this is my only ugly bitch now -  This would be the 180* opposite to my ugly bitch (and she'd kick my ass were she to find out I put her picture up amongst you lot )  (PS: If somehow you do see this, I love you hun ...oh, and you left the bathroom light on again...you should really remember to turn that off because I think having the light on all day slowly makes the alcohol in my mouthwash evaporate so it doesnt work as good. I think, Reindog, you just proved my point; lot-o-vitriol in your post. The one thing I fail to understand about this form of 'communication' is why people consider it communication. To wit... quite often the person we read on-line has little resemblance with the person we know face-to-face. The question then becomes,"Which one is real?" As a writer of sorts, my rules for web scribblings (and print, for that matter) are: 1) Use my full name on all posts 2) Never write anything that I wouldn't say in person. This simple set has probably kept me from getting my ass kicked more than a few times. btw, BadWeb is one of the most informative boards to be found. There is an amazing worth of help, support, and information available hereabouts. Yet, I feel more at home on SacBorg. The reasons for this mirror my personality in that I'm not a fan of somewhat Draconian rule (BW), I enjoy a bit of chaos (SB), judicious use of swearwords is part of my vocabulary, and my political views are better reflected in the "saloon" venue. Also, the West has a different mindset than does the Midwest/East, and I always get the distinct feeling of a Midweast/East-centric positioning re BW. (Yeah, I know, there are numerous West Coast posters.) ...a small point that, to me illustrates the difference between the boards: For many years I've referred to the respective sites as "SadSacks" and BedWetters." This has raised nary a hackle on the back of SB. However, the use of "BedWetter" here a few months back, generated two condemning personal e-mails, and at least one post citing my infantile... or something like that... behavior. None of this detracts from the excellence of BadWeb; it just means there are all sorts of different people out there, each an individual and each correct in their opinions. I enjoy it hereabouts, but I always feel like I remember feeling about visiting a girlfriend's parents for the first time; Use the correct fork at dinner, and don't scratch where it itches. | ||

I would say that your characterizations of SB and BW are pretty spot on. BW has a very midwestern sensibility. There is nothing wrong with it. It's just different. Nearly every other place out there has a wild west verve. I think it's part of what makes BW attractive (and informative). Where the rub occurs is when folks wish to transform BW into the wild west. It wouldn't be any different is someone wished to roll in and change SB to the midwest complete with picket fences and grandma. They don't compete. They are just different. Both have made the determination that they would rather not be what they are not. | ||

Why even bring it up?  It may be my possible mis-reading of your words; often your style of writing comes across to me as pretentious. It may just be misreading. Yet now BadWeB is characterized as as being under "draconian rule"? Huh? draconian (adjective): Exceedingly harsh; very severe.You really think that is an accurate characterization of how this forum is managed? I sure don't. We simply have rules, very reasonable and quite commonly well-accepted rules for any venue intended to be family oriented. Or is it your view that we are overzealous as a matter of practice in upholding our rules? I don't see that at all either. My comment to you was purely personal. Very odd that you'd use it as an example of BadWeB's management in general. Have you ever been banned from BadWeB? I've been banned from SacBORG. Rocketman has been banned from both. In light of that, can you please explain how BadWeB is draconian, yet SacBORG is a free for all where no holds are barred? Because we prohibit profanity? So then all public broadcasting must likewise be under "draconian rule" in your view? BadWeB maintains a topic in reserve, the SacBoard, just for the SacBORG few for when the site there suffers outages. Sadsac seems an entirely benign term, not something that would offend in any way. The term "bedwetter" is condescending and clearly meant to ridicule. I thought it was beneath you and that you might welcome a thoughtful note calling that to your attention. I guess I was wrong. Regm if referring to BadWeBers as BedWetters makes you happy, please have at it. It makes no difference to me other than how I view you personally. | ||

The reality is, were you to fall in my doorway, I wouldn't recognize you, and I know naught of you other than from your posts here and e-ms to me; that's hardly enough to know a person. In point of fact, I have great respect for what you've done here. Would I do it the same way? Not even close, but that's of no relevance.
