Sweet! Nice rolling pickup with the chase plane. Looks like a Fat Albert (737) on steroids. Boeing always made nice looking planes. | ||

The wing flex on that plane was crazy!!! The wingtips were well above the top of the fuselage! | ||

Did they end the flight early? I was listening on the radio and they said they were landing early but didn't know why. Cool deal ! Next thing you know folks will be complaining about all the foreign made parts! :-) | ||

they ended the flight early due to weather. it was nice to finally see that thing get off of the ground. despite the delays, i think it's still a huge achievement. good for boeing. | ||

What great footage. It that dihedral or flex? It's an amazing looking aircraft! ! ! What is it about flying ? ? . . .it's like a camp fire in that you can sit and watch it for hours. Very cool. | ||

the dihedral goes from negative to positve during lift off.watch a picture of a fully ladden b52 .It is surprizing to hear that during an intial test flight.I too worked for the big b some 10years ago but doubt with the current conditions and changes to Departmental requirements I will ever again. | ||

They did indeed have to cut the flight short due to weather. In fact, it started pouring down rain about a half hour after take off. Very, very cool . I kinda grew up surrounded by big Boeing airliners - My Dad is an aero engineer and worked for Qantas for 35 years, including being one of the engineering reps at Boeing from '64 to '67 for the 707's(my two sisters were born in Seattle). | ||

Here's another video with some footage from one of those T-33's... I personally can't wait to see the 747-8 fly next month. It's got the same wing design that the 787 has, and 4 of those massive GEnx engines. | ||

The A400m also had its first flight this week. Btw, I heard the Chinese are going to start commercical airliners. COMAC, the running joke around here is that it stands for Commie AirCraft. The Russians are also looking into getting into the game outside of Russia. | ||

I love watching these videos . . . now we need some videos of the T-33's at play! NASA had a couple of them in baby blue and my uncle the astronaut used to take one from Palm Desert, CA to Florida for shuttle launches. Very cool stuff! | ||

Wow... you never know who's in the crowd around here.... We've got folks who helped design and build the plane, folks who worked on the engines that propel the plane... And then guys like me that sell equipment that's used to test both the engines and the airframe. This is one super cool community. Way to go America. | ||
