wow those things look, how do i put this....GAY! my biggest concern with all of the alternate fuel and "green" vehicles is the fact that they make them all look like something butt pirates would drive. give me a "green" car that looks like a muscle car or something too that effect until then y'all can keep the gay parade cars.

I was thinking of it as an enclosed motorcycle for 3.

Rear engine, rear drive, light weight.

"GAY!"

I would love a tiny pickup.
If my lanky ass could fit in it!
I have enough trouble getting in my toyota pickup with a standard cab.

I stayed with my friend in japan for a few weeks and you would not believe the stuff that is hauled by those tiny pickups!
best I saw was one loaded to the gills with propane tanks crawling up a 25 degree incline dirt road in four wheel drive.
tiny 650cc engine spinning along at 3000RPM while the thing was going about 5MPH.
Friggin' awesome!

I think it was one of these:

Only it was white and the bed had stakes as tall as the cab to tie up the propane tanks.

It's sad, Opinions like some of the ones here are why the only thing we can get from Detroit is, gas pig, plastic and electronic trash, made to fail in expensive ways that only a factory shop can work on.

Japan has had 50+ MPG cars and trucks for over a DECADE! And they are not overloaded with COMPUTERS and such trash, and YES they will pass a smog test. I'm with Ft and City give me some of the good stuff. Oh and keep the government away from it. It's efficient and safe enough as built, without all the carp they mandate.

Ps keep the power windows, seats, mirrors,or any other do dads, toys and bling for the failing big three.

I also REALLY want a Mini Cooper.

My first car was a VW Beetle. I have never gotten over my love of big cars in small packages.

If you can take a 1.8L IL4 and build a Lotus Elise, I'd love to see what I can do with that.

I drive alone most of the time. My wife has a gigantosaurus for the kids/work.

This to me would be a motorcycle I could wear a suit and tie in. I can only imagine a hopped up 3 cylinder or diesel hybrid, some performance rubber, and Deal's Gap.

re the honda, ALL I want is a relatively modern vehicle (AC, PWR, etc) that in some way can carry 1 atv, or 1 buell, or 2 dirtbikes without resorting to a trailer. I do not want a bazillion ton work monster truck. I don't care if it runs on electricity, water, diesel, gas. I just want cheap transportation for me and my toys. (kinda like a toyota tacoma before they became huge) i'm all for concepts like this.

Joebuell,

I bought an F150 with a V6 that gets over 20mpg. It'll haul everything you listed. It ain't fancy but I walked out the door with a full size truck for $11,500.00 and it's made in Kansas City, USA.

I want a Yugo Convertible with a hi-po sleeper motor- mebbe a heavily tweaked VW FWD unit.

So has the US. Difference is, nobody in the states wants to buy them, so there isn't as many offered.

VW Rabbit Pickup. Even built them here. Not around anymore obviously. I see the equivalent vehicles from south of the border driving around up here occasionally.

I like the concept and really really wanted a G8 ST.

That treaded truck would be just the thing in WI when the roads are slick and snow covered. I wonder what the top speed is though??? Maybe 30mph...
