Harley's status update on their facebook page today is... "So I just met with our race manager on getting you some behind-the-scenes content next year. Any suggestions?" Oh My God!!! They hung up the world's largest hornet's nest and passed out sticks. There are more pro-Buell posts they you can imagine. The Harley bashing is thru the roof and I have added to lots of the comments myself and encourage others to do so also. People are blasting them about the flat track dropping, the Buell closing, Buell beating them in drags, etc. They have some true marketing genius talking about a race manager after all the recent activities. Are Gilligan and Skipper piloting their ship? One of my posts asked if they were gonna ask Obama for bailout money and then change their name to Hussein Davidson Motor Co. | ||

The actual post on their wall that has that statement on it as well is the one that has (at the current time) 162 comments on it. I would say that 120 or more of those are negative toward HD. | ||

This is most excellent. Hey, as soon as someone posts talking about more NHRA coverage of the "V-Rod", somebody should post asking why they didn't put up information on the bike that beat the "V-Rod" in NHRA. A "Buell"! If you can't beat 'em, shut 'em down, I guess. Or how about asking them to post videos of the Buell racers beating the imports and winning the national championship? Oh, wait, that's right, you shut them down! | ||

the York layoffs didn't go over to well either...I expect big problems for individual Harley dealers from here on with overflowing bike inventories and the geniuses that are running the show at the murdership. Thank God Erik has escaped, now if we can get enough noise made to get HD to sell Buell. | ||

More proof of idiots at HD as if the closing of Buell wasn't enough? Did you need more signs to tell you that a group of idiots are running Harley-Davidson right now? They are running it right into the ground! I honestly believe that I will see the day where Harley-Davidson is closed and out of business with the decisions that they are making now! | ||

I think HD will mark October 2009 as the month the wheels came off. It's sad to say, but I sincerely hope that it gets worse for HD so that it can get better. HD was best when it was a scrappy underdog striving to build the quintessential American story. Now it has become a hollow monument to its own past. A stumbling, visionless, parody. |
