It actually looks kind of neat to me in that pic, but it looks like the wheelbase has been lengthened, optical illusion maybe? |

As far as I can tell, all he did was cut the stock tail section in half, rigged up different rear lights, changed the pipe and intake, then painted it a bit. I don't think he stretched the swingarm, it's probably the angle.

All that work and he kept the warning label on. |

I've never been a fan of the Blast, mainly because I'm 6' tall and look like an ape on one. It always looked like a toy and I hate the big ferris wheel rear sprocket. But..... that one actually looks really cool. The painted rear fender adds a lot combined with the bobbed tail. I think it needs a Lightning headlight/flyscreen or maybe a Vrod headlight to take it a step further. I think if someone gives me a Blast I would do that as a barhopper. |

It is great for commuting. 85MPG, $70 tires, less maintenance than the XB, and because I got mine so cheap, I don't give a damn if it got ran over that garbage truck I illegally parked in front of |

Froggy, that is exactly the kind of beast I need for throwing around in the woods, something with a lower cost threshold for repairs! |

Its an older Blast that actually had some internal work done by the original owner. The tail probably got bobed when the bike got dropped - I still have pictures of it when it was done up originally long ago. EZ |

I miss my Blast in a lot of ways...it was FUN to ride (within it's limits)...twist throttle wide open....and ride....not much drama till you ran across painted road stripes in a corner going fast....or hit a dip in the road while cornering hard...but you can THROW them into tight turns...and they are a good looking bike. |

"looks like they did i pretty good amount of work..." Trust me Jake, as a Blast rider and heavy customizer, it only LOOKS like they did alot. 1. Paint (most noticable difference because it stands out so much) 2. Chopped tail and made cover plate with some cheap-azz lights 3. Cheap auto parts store intake 4. Vance/Hines exhaust 5. Cheap aftermarket mirror LoL, the guys description of that bike made all of us on the Thumper forum laugh pretty good. |

Remind me to tell you about that Ducati 848 that was holding me up in the twisties near my house. I didn't even drag my pegs on the Blast that day. I could see his pissed off face through his smoked visor every time he glanced in his mirror and I was about to contact his tire |

Many Blasters can smoke anything on the road - if they can choose the road. |

Looks like about 10 degrees shy of a custom thumper chopper...Throw it away. It MIGHT make me change my mind it it had clubman bars on it and a turbo in the big open hole. Then it would be cool looking and fun to ride. (Message edited by paw on December 05, 2009) |

It's also hard to believe they took 100 lbs off the bike with all the chopping. If they did that, It would make it a faster but not very fast!!! And for the custom exhaust it looks just like a V&H SSR2 with the logo's taken off and polished up a bit. For this thing to cost $10,000 to build that figure has to be with man hours included and the cost of buying the bike. (Message edited by paw on December 05, 2009) |
