It's worse than that, the mothership (HD) will be taking all of our bikes and throwing them in that infamous dumpster.

That's funny; my Mossberg 500 says otherwise.

Slicker, you've got a one-track mind... a little dirty maybe, maybe stuck in a rut, but, if you enduro, you've yet to hour-out in your quest for a dual-sporter!: )

>>>I thought BMC was being closed, 180 people losing their jobs, and the last Buell would be built on October 30th.

Buell Motorcycle Company, a subsidiary of Harley-Davidson, ceased production.

Harley-Davidson has Buell obligations that extend nearly 15 years into the future.

Buell did not "cease to exist", they ceased production.

Yeah, well, I still feel like a close relative died. Correction, was murdered.

So Mark, have you ever built your own motorcycle? Or do you just cheap-shot those who DIY something different.
I ask because I have a project which has taken two years and a lot of money to see what my own two hands can do. It's quite a challenge, and requires much discipline keeping your idea from being polluted by other eyes.
If you've got a spare 15k and 1-2 years, give it a try.

David, you missed the southpark episode didn't you?
Yes I have, in answer to your question, and collaborated on others that used about 8 off the shelf bike parts with the rest of it all custom fab, and yes they were different, and they took a lot of time, and I'm here just for fun too.

Gross! Oh, that is SO gross!

Now I know why EB isn't posting here. He's protecting himself from that.

Gross!

"His hot tub is warm and hairy."

Can't be as hairy as this place was...

Now, I'm a long hair, and 10,000 naked hippies can't be all bad, but it was a little overwhelming seeing all those hairs in the water flowing over my body. High traffic, low flow, pretty sc(h)arry.

Gotcha! There's where I was confused. "Harley Davidson has Buell obligations" leads me to believe HD is providing parts and service to Buell owners, not Buell.

I'm just a computer geek, so I don't pretend to know about anything that doesn't plug into a wall or run on a battery.
