the flex only comes in "normal" sizes. no tall or short. Some of use only weight 165lb and have long arms. Usually going to a large works for most things, but the armor is not in the correct places for my Medium Tall body.

I love my Buell Adventure Jacket. Worn it from 50 degrees up to 100+ degree days. Overs great versatility with the zip off panels and vents.

My wife's got a Fieldsheer Corsair jacket, and that thing is sweet! I am really thinking about getting one for myself too, especially at these prices:

They do run a bit small, I am usually a medium, but on this jacket a large fits me well. I recommend trying one on before purchasing.

Cortech Accelerator Series 2 - Got it this spring and I am still using it. Front pockets come off for large ventilation panels in the summer (never arrived anywhere sweaty). Removable liner - makes the jacket super warm! Totally water proof. Comes with a backpack/hydration pack that integrates into jacket. Sleeves zip totally off if needed - kind of defeats the purpose of wearing the jacket though.
Comes in regular and tall sizes. I paid $224.

Well, if you change your mind on the textile bit, I can highly recommend the Firstgear Scout IV. Longer than the sportbike cut jackets. Great ventilation in the summer. Nice liner with neck warmer for colder months. If you remove the armor, it's even comfortable as a "regular" leather jacket.
Newenough.com even has them on closeout for cheap.

I have been riding with a Scorpion Shock Textile/Leather Jacket. I previously had a Joe Rocket Ballistic 6.0 Textile jacket. The ballistic was a very nice jacket until it rained. The 100% waterproof construction was not even close. The jacket was just over a year old when I discovered the flaw. I contacted New Enough and the warranted the jacket with a 110% refund.

I replaced it with the Shock and it is the best 3 1/2 season jacket I have owned. I also found that it is waterproof as advertised. The construction and the little features are first rate.
